4 builders... Should I keep 1 for walls only?

I see, thanks a lot everyone, I think I'll start working on the 5th builder though, it's just too useful and it'll get even more useful with longer upgrades. Yes as many of you maybe guessed or mentioned I'm the atm, pretty close to maxed actually, apart from walls which I still need plenty for all lv8. What strategy would you advise me? I usually barch... Today I did some th snipe and I went up 150ish trophies, give or take a couple but I did lose like 50ish (would have got 200 otherwise) because I barched some high lv village that I couldn't fully 50%... And tbh I wasn't paying attention to the 50%... Can I get to master league just th sniping and eventually barching for some resources? Or something else would be better?

Well, if you farm a lot and you can't get any more resources because you are full and waiting for a free builder then I say to use 3 builders for upgrades and one for walls. You will have to do walls eventually so it is better to work on walls before your defense is maxed, that way you will save builder time, because after all your buildings are maxed you will start working on walls (I guess) and you will waste builder time.
You can reach master league by TH sniping, but you need a lot of patience as snipes above C1 are rare. I recommend you to use BAM (barbs archers minions) because it trains very fast, it's very good for farming and it's also cheap. Btw why did you post this thread twice?

I think it's a waste to keep a builder down. You'll have to save up for expensive upgrades anyway, so why keep a constant gold/elixir dump if it won't be used all the time? What I did was raid for more than I needed for an intended upgrade. Then I'd spend excess on walls. You can chip away at walls while keeping all builders active.

Besides.... Idle builders make baby Jesus cry.

If you are able to space out your upgrades so one finishes each day, I would keep them busy.

The only time I would keep a builder free is if the next available builder won't be done for at least 2+ days. In those 2 days, i could gain significant loot that I don't want to have sitting around. But if it were 1 day, I'd start the next build knowing if I have to dump loot, I'll have a builder available within 24 hours....

I started keeping 5th builder for walls half way through th8 and found myself with all 5 builders free towards the last month as I worked on lvl 8 walls, once I hit TH9 I keept 1 free from day 1 and I still maxed my base way before I maxed my walls. I only have 28 walls left to max at lvl 10 and my heroes are at 28AQ and 27BK started my TH10 upgrade 3 days ago. 978,000,000 gold grab , thank god for the elixir wall upgrade! Without that Elixer wall upgrade I'd only be half way through and would have farmed 400 million Elixer into the toilet

At the moment I have around 1800ish trophies and I noticed the difference, now I have to skip quite a few raids till I get a th snipe one... I could get some more since some th are a little protected but I don't wanna waste many troops to get it since that would mean more wait time and more time till I can get a barchable raid. I'll definitely try BAM, I didn't think of that despite knowing of it but you're probably right, it should train quite faster, and I guess it'd be a good idea to finally make the second dark barracks to make it even faster eheheh almost maxed th8 and no 2nd dark barrack... Pretty embarrassing...

I have never kept one builder free at all times for walls. Instead I've always just done a wall or 2 before starting a builder going on the next upgrade.

I see... But I often have like 3-4 mil gold and next upgrade isn't due to finish till 2 days or 1 and a half... That's like 3 attacks... I do have a farming base but usually if I have this many resources (my elixir is always the same as my gold) they don't even see the th and go straight for the resources shah

Have the builder in a 5 day cycle that 1 builder becomes free every 24h to put loot into walls.
It's a lot of work and timing but is the most efficient way of clashing.
Find an quick 1 or 2 day upgrade that slot into the missing day if the cycle has a gap.
You must build right away once an upgrade is finished to make this work.

I never let my builders rest. I always make em' busy. Haha! Making one of them rest seems to me like a lot of time are not being put to some good use.

I feel exactly like you do but .. I do also wanna upgrade my walls xD
