Is loonian still the best way to get DE? Really?

Have you tried BAM? You can attack at least once every 15 minutes and it's easy to bust into cores for the DE storage too. I've been getting around 1200 DE per attack in C3, I'm overflowing with the stuff. Loonian takes way too long and you can't effectively hit collector raids when you find them without wasting a significant amount of time.

This is not me complaining about loot at all. I'm just wondering. My loonian army takes like 50 minutes and uses 500 DE. Is loonian really still the best way? Having some trouble trying to max these heroes. I was using a giant/barch army but... eh the results are mixed.

All the DE guides say use loonian but none of them are really recent.

So I think it's entertaining that everyone wants you to farm DE with loonion armies. I have never used DE troops to farm as DE is the most valuable resource in the game...it all goes to my heros. With that concept in mind, I used to farm with giants/goblins/archers/wallbreakers and then once I wanted to drop trophies from climbing too high I'd go all goblin armies and still get a lot of loot on the way down. Once I hit town hall 9 though DE became a priority, not gold and elixer...this is where the game changes for farming in my opinion.

Here is what I do as town hall 9 and town hall 10...I cook 4-8 wall breakers in case I need to get past the exterior collectors. I then request level 6 giants in my clan castle (again, to get into the interior for a DE storage that might not be centralized). I farm barch...that's it...straight barbarians and archers. I average 2,000 de per raid and an average day for me is 30,000 dark elixer with about 7,500 coming from my DE drills and the other 22,500 coming from raids. On the weekend if I am actually attacking most of the day I will walk away with 60,000-80,000 DE, yes, from barching. If people aren't able to farm DE from barching then they are doing it wrong. Not to mention my armies take about 25 minutes, not 45-50 minutes, so I'm getting in double the attacks, which means over twice as much DE (they are using DE for troops) and I'm getting more gold/elixer as well. why do you need so many minions? sometimes even 30 is enough..

Well, if you have the gems to boost all four regular barracks for balloons, and you have lev6 balloons, and level 4+ minions, then yes, it is easily the most effective way to farm DE

Loonian in masters is great you should be able to knock out 40-50k DE a day pretty easily. The bonus alone covers minons plus some. This strat focuses on high profits per attacks with less attacks per day. Usually your shooting for 3000+ DE per raid plus the 600-800 DE bonus.

Gi-barch is great in gold 1-c3. 10 giants, 8-10 wb and barch cooks fast and your can bring in a lot per day. boosted cooking only takes like 4-5 min or so if you skip fast and hit every 1000+k raid you can usually profit 30-50k in a 2 hour boost session. So this strat is ideal for active raiders who can get a session of screen time in the evening.

Barch and bam plenty of people knock out raids all day with these and bring in great loot. I prefer some giants when DE diving unless I have queen than I don't need them as much as she will get the DE if you funnel her right. Another great strat for active raiders.


All strats work well just take a lot of work.

My 3months old rushed TH9 has lv4 minion, lv5 BK & lv7 (going lv8) AQ, guess loonion is good

Zapping is not okay, but entering someones village and murdering him for his DE is ?? What a sense of false morality. Followimg this dumb logic, you are the a-hole for attacking someone you dont know who hasnt done anything to you.

Something about using an attack that has no defense to steal resources versus training up an army and taking it like a man.

I use bam in m2 and m3 and make a ♥♥♥♥ ton. Been able to upgrade my aq nonstop since I hit th10 (she's going to 38 now).

loons are good to loot dark elixer though they take a while to make. and if u are at m 2 - m 1 bonus is enough to make profits a little more if u loot dark

As a th9 I've found that loonian is the best way to make dark without having to raid all day with methods like bam or barch. I put my th inside during the day while my army cooks of 20/60. I have 3 rage and 1 lightning and I try to use 1 spell a raid so my effective attack cost is around 120k. I'm in masters so the bonus expenses it as long as I keep winning. I'm doing both heroes non stop too so you gotta be meticulous with ur attacks. Make an L shape with ur loons on a corner nearest the de and drop a rage directly on the junction of the loons to accelerate them into core with minions behind. Use ur cc of mins every raid and try to maintain cups by any means...it's hard getting 50 on th10s without heroes
