This is not me complaining about loot at all. I'm just wondering. My loonian army takes like 50 minutes and uses 500 DE. Is loonian really still the best way? Having some trouble trying to max these heroes. I was using a giant/barch army but... eh the results are mixed.
All the DE guides say use loonian but none of them are really recent.
Im not a fan of using de to farm de. Plus those loons take forever and are taxing on lix and or gems.

Have you tried BAM? You can attack at least once every 15 minutes and it's easy to bust into cores for the DE storage too. I've been getting around 1200 DE per attack in C3, I'm overflowing with the stuff. Loonian takes way too long and you can't effectively hit collector raids when you find them without wasting a significant amount of time.
Loonian for me is good for trophy hunting. And for DE & Farming I prefer using BAM.

About how long does your army take? I like wizards but the time on them...

well i just used barch for farming de.. i am in the high gold1 - low crystal 3 range. well though i can just farm around 10k de for the day, which is pretty low for some of us. but it is pretty ok for me to sustain upgrading one hero at a time..
i still need to focus on gold and elix more since i am still currently upgrading my defenses.
