Please Revert the update to upgrading walls with Elixir!

Since the update where you can spend elixir to upgrade walls, now it is just hard to keep elixir. You spend so much just to raid or war and would be lucky to break even because everyone dumps their excess resources into walls.

It ruins the fun of the game where you are sorta forced into only raiding with barbs and archers, you can spend fifteen minutes hitting next, next, next, next and barely find anyone with more than 80k elixir just to recupe the costs of your barch raid.

Now I cringe to donate expensive troops and is afraid to try out new or fun army comps for the sake of losing a resource that is the hardest to save now.

Clash of Clans should go back to the old formula of Gold is for defenses and Elixir is for troops.

    Then learn...

Upgrade ur collectors and overnight you'll get the elixir u need. Also get your clan to learn how to war. It's all in the art and amazingness of ability to get loot. I have 1 229 678 elixir...its not impossible.

Elixir isn't hard to save at all, my PEKKA L4 went in the oven 4 days ago and I'm back up to 3.3 million elixir. There are people who have raided lots more than me I'm sure.

    1. Did not say it was impossible, I said it is much worse than it was before you could spend elixir on walls.

    2. I have seven maxed collectors.

    3. My clan has 74 Clan War Wins. We know how to play this game.

    4. Thanks for all your typos, spell checkers too hard.

There was an elixir problem before the update... namely there was a complete excess of it. Many players couldn't get rid of it. Often this led to players putting more effort into protecting gold while expending less energy to protect elixir because why waste the effort when there's a constant abundance?

Now players are forced to protect both, making a strategical choice as to what they want to protect. Also, it prevents players from just building overpowering armies non-stop.

And by the way, I still have no trouble finding elixir. It's still overflowing after spending 1.5-2M on war. Most bases I find to raid still have way more elixir than gold.

Upgrading walls with elixir is a feature that should've been included since the game's inception. Not including it was a mistake - it has since been corrected. That hurt loot in the short term, but things are starting to balance out again. People either have the motivation to upgrade walls or they don't; now that the initial excitement of the lix-walls update has worn off, most of us have seen more balance in the overall loot available.

You can choose to complain about the update and talk down to the people that reply to your thread if you want, but the update won't be going away. You are in an Overwhelming minority in this case, sorry.

I agree - in the begining everyone was spending loot on walls. now it seems to be getting back to normal. Try farming in Gold 1&2 200/200 loot raids in less than 5 minutes of nexting. If you want to farm D.E. hit crystal up.

I think that using elixir to upgrade walls is wonderful, though to be honest I'm a th9 looking to max my walls to lava's before upgrading to th10. I'm clearly biased.

In addition to my own personal preferences I think that making elixir more useful has reduced de zapping. That's something that people complain about regularly and in my experience it's been happening less frequently.

I choose to talk down to people who insult me on threads, as the kid did. I am 100% cool with people disagreeing with me, I'll take constructive criticisms with no problems. But if someone fires off at me, You'll bet your money I will fire back.
