Is there a way to get them un-legit?

I got my 5th builder by removing obstacles and earning achievements to. I got it on TH9

tis easier now with more achievements (war stars and war-gold) but still quite something of an accomplishment !
I got mine at TH9 by pushing to masters, I was just 500 gems short of 2k and only the master-league achievement offered enough gems. (I got my fourth for reaching crystal).

EDIT: Thanks fette, yeah it is true, I'd forgotten, there were no gem boxes either, and obstacles yielded max 3 gems.

Its possible to get all 5 without gemming, by town hall 8. If you remove obstacles/gem boxes frequently, (I found over 50 gem boxes), earn more achievements you will be able to get all 5 by early town hall 8. I got third builder in town hall 6, fourth in town hall 7, and last one in town hall 8. Just make sure you don't waste any gems before though. I got fifth builder legit, no buying gems.

2 years ago there were no gemboxes... the max amount of gems you could get from removing obstacles was 3 gems!!

a lot of the high gem reward achievements didnt exist.


I'm not sure what exactly OP is trying to get at, especially considering builders can only be bought with gems in the first place.

as long as you didnt H@ck in any way...then you got your builders legit, even if you paid real money for it. Its 'legit' to buy gems you know...

I earned one and paid for two, though the way I see it I could spend hours and hours earning achievements to get the gems, or spend those hours doing extra shifts at work and earning enough $ to buy a few thousands gems lol. So you could say I technically earned the other two as well, them and my barb king.
