Exactly, and that's why these leagues will most likely be developed further. They have made it very clear, and some of Rauta's old posts say it explicitly, that they want to attach value to trophies.

This league system is their 1st attempt at it and the consensus is that it hasn't worked. The natural response is for Supercell to improve it, not scrap it. I can't envision any scenario in which they would back off of this.

I wasn't arguing about the leagues though. I was highlighting the problems with the games matchmaking. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a change in the matchmaking in future updates.

Hello there DaSud, that was a very long post with a lot of abusive comments (such as "cowardly and worthless") aimed at the farming community. You seem to be a pretty direct guy, so I am going to be equally frank with you.

Your base is in a very bad shape. You upgraded to TH 8 far to early. You have serioulsy crippled yourself in terms of being able to defend against well co-ordinated attacks. You will be pillaged and burned over and over again for the next weeks, and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. My TH 7 (2nd account) is way more powerful in terms of defensive power than your TH 8. That other players take advantage of your weakness is to be expected in a game that evolves around multiplayer battles.

You say that you belong in gold II in your post. I disagree. Silver II would probably fit you a lot better to be honest, you are a low level player with a rushed TH 8, you have no business being in Gold II if you can't stand the heat, which you obviously can't since you just posted such a long list of complaints.

Your analysis on the changes you'd like to see is obviously only based on your own gaming experience. What you need to understand, however, is that you lack a lot of experience and knowledge in this game. And your suggestions show that.

I also find it strange that you say that you don't want to "name and shame" and then proceeds to do just that. Your actions is what counts, not your statements.

...to be fair tho I have been picked on many many many times since I've started playing and I'm not even mad. I actually look forward to awsome replays in the morning. I take a lot from others so giving back some is no big deal. I love learning new strats from my replays too!

I don't have any alt accounts. Maybe you do. Or maybe you just want to be like me, handsome and successful. If you knew my pattern, I don't think anything needs to be done with farming. It is clear to most sensible beings that find their way to this corner of the internet that all tweaks to farming are to increase revenue while maintaining interest for the masses. All of this is done with the understanding that their will be a certain percentage that like to whine until they get their way (i.e. freeload for as long as possible). Supercell gets rich and I don't care. As long as they don't go out of business and I have to find another game I'm happy.

I'll take that bet. Rants aren't really hb808's style.

Yep, unlike several of my fans, I don't have any alt accounts. I have a maxed TH7 and maxed TH8, contemplating the leap to TH9 land.

What I am trying to say is that, if done right, these leagues could help alleviate some of the common complaints about the current matchmaking system, which would lessen the need for a new one.
