Then you should lure the enemy cc out first to kill them and then do the normal attack on the base.

It is truly hard to deal with Wizards in the enemy CC. Although, dealing with many CC troops is hard and that is the point of having good CC troops haha.

It will come with experience how you'll deal with enemy CC troops, but in many cases, I will recommend to simply practice!

The way I've always done it is to try to send in the golems first in order to have it so that the Golems are the troops to trigger the CC first. That way they can tank while the Wizards and Valkyries deal with them, but THAT is, quite frankly, hard to do even with experience. So all I can say is practice practice practice. Although, you'll run into similar troubles with CC troops on other types of raids. For example, GoWiPe is slowed down tons against Witches in the CC. Dragons tend to be able to fly right through many CC troops (because they are both tanks and damage dealing troops at the same time), but if you make a wrong move, your drags will be pulled far from ADs and THs by an enemy Dragon in the CC; Or they will be shot down by a wizard-heavy CC.

Although I'd like to thick that GoWiVa is the PERFECT the attack, and I've even said it in my guide, I've found out as a TH9, that it is always BEST to diversify your arsenal!

Hogs, Drags, GoWiVa, GoWiPe, are your best TH8 attacks, so if you can use them all, you should be able to take out ANY Th8 with a max level army, spells, CC troops, and King.

Although, I still think that GoWiVa is generally your best bet haha.

    Dude, I hate you...

I like the conceptual theory here. Now I'm regretting that I haven't upgraded by Valks earlier! Pekkas to L3 take 12 friggin days...

Always been a fan of valks, just haven't used them in GoWiPe yet. Now, however, I'm itching to take a shot with them and a significant reason why is because you had to post this stupid thread. Thanks for making me realize, once again, that all of the troops at our disposal seem to have a solid use in various situations. Once again, you suck!

Lol, I'm glad to make you regret your clash choices
If you EVER need any help with the strategy, PM me, and I'll be sure to get back to you asap and help you out in any way I can. Also, feel free to use the strategy with Lv1 Valkyries. It is still effective, though obviously, having LV2 Valks would certainly help a lot! And using Lv2 Golems with Lv1 Valkyries will certainly be better than using Lv1 Golems with Lv1 Valks as most people do when first introduced to GoWiVa, so I'd say that you don't have it that bad GL!

    Updates on the Thread:

    1) I put in an additional note in the Clan Castle Composition on a new perspective as to what is the Best CC composition you can use and the alterations you can or may not need to make to your army composition while using the particular Clan Castle Composition.

I've found that is is better to use 3 Max level Valkyries in your CC and to drop 3 vales fro the normal composition and to use your own Wizards; However, you can continue to use 10 Lv2 Valkyries in addition to the 3 Lv4 Valkyries you can attain in your CC. It is up to personal preference. Check it out by the ** in the guide.

    2) I have decided to share the secret of using Valkyries as a TH9. I will LINK the TH9 Guide to this one and vice versa for those of you interested in using either one. I'll be working tonight on the Guide, and hopefully have it up tonight, but I would expect to see it up tomorrow, because I'm sure you all know how thorough I can be. I can personally guarantee that the TH9 Valkyrie attacking method is as strong if not stronger than most other TH9 attacks and has the ability to three star MAX level TH9s with a guarantee of 2 Starring them if properly executed! I do regret to inform you that there are other methods that are better for gaining THREE stars on a base, but those methods are ALL or NOTHING strategies that require High level heroes.

My TH9 GoWiWiVa Guide is up. There are links to it at the top and bottom of the guide.

It is still a work in progress as I have yet to add pictures to it, but for the most part all of the writing is done. I also want to create a video guide to go along with it, but I'm not entirely sure if that will happen.

For those of you TH9s that read this GoWiVa guide, wanting a way to use Valkyries effectively in a Th9 attack, this is your guide!

    LINK

I know that you guys have wanted a guide for this for a while, and that it took me an absurd amount of time to figure this out, but I've finally done it and compiled it into a guide for you all. I hope you enjoy it!

In my opinion, valks, without question. The main job of the golem is largely done once you break inside and the valks take over.

that is very true, and IF you know you will be sticking to GoWiVa, I'd recommend valkyries; but if there is a chance you may change your mind, Golems are a more versatile upgrade being able to be used in both go wipe and gowiva. They can also be thrown into some more complicated raiding styles, but none of them are really worth using in wars

honestly, flipping a coin is an easier way to make that decisions since we cannot see the future as to whether or not you'd like it.

HOWEVER, if you want to take a few test runs with the strategy, Lv1 Valkyries and Golems work fairly well. One of my current GoWiVa Th8 members uses GoWiVa in war every attack and hasn't failed yet with lv1 golems and valkyries and lv4 spells; but he attacks medium level this rather than max level bases. For your first time attempting to use them with lv1 troops, I'd recommend starting with a medium level the base until you decide you like it/ get the hang of it!

That way you can make a better informed decision whether you really like the strategy as much to upgrade your valkyries at this point or not.

But when you think about it: you're (ideally) going to upgrade them regardless before you go to th9, if you are Maxing your Town Hall levels like I would personally recommend!

    Either way Good Luck!!!

And my obviously personal recommendation is: stick with GoWiVa and upgrade your Valks, but I am a promoter of your own decisions being made, so i'll let you decide for yourself instead of pressuring you into it

    3 starred a max th8?

do you have a video or a screenshot that shows a gowiva that 3 starred a max th8 (max everything including walls)?

i have been using goviwa attack in almost all my CW attacks and its intersting but i cannot guarantee a 3 star all the time. im about to jump to th9 in a week or so, so you can tell that im using them alot.

BTW i think hogs in CC is more effective... works just like a gohowiwi (hogs released at the half end of the base).
