So I have a Lvl 5 archer queen (about to be lvl 5) and a Lvl 5 barb king. The only DE troops I've upgraded are hogs but I barely use them. Should I focus on archer queen first, barb king, or should I work on maxing witches and getting golems upgraded?
the heroes will help more in raids but I know they help a lot in the clan wars too. Which one do you guys think I should do?

Get your AQ to 10, and then pause her there, using your level 5 BK to help raid DE. Use her to help you raid DE to get your BK up to 15. Pause him there, and use him to get your AQ up to 15. With both heroes at 15, you now face a month per 5 level increment. Use them to max out your Golems and Witches (ignoring hogs and minions for now).
Why 5 level increment? The stats you gain per level of hero upgrade are pretty tiny. They add up over time, but the big bursts of power increases come each time you unlock a new ability level - this happens every 5 levels.
Additionally, from level 1 -> 15 takes just slightly longer than any 5 level chunk after 15. So, you get the most bang for your buck at level 15 (3 ability unlocks in 6 weeks) compared to 16-20, 21-25, 26-30 (each are 1 ability unlock per 4 weeks).
My heroes are same with you (lv 5 King and Queen), but I have 2* hog and 4* minion. I plan to keep upgrading my heroes until both of them are lv 10 before I upgrade my DE troops, becuz heroes help me a lot in farming or clan war. That is just my point of view. Hope it can help u
Thanks for the input. I'll focus on getting my queen to lvl 10 and then move king up. I'll pause the heroes at 15 and then work on my dark troops till I get max witches and lvl 3 golems. I think that will probably be best.
