Step 1. Trophy Ranges
Your Trophy range will vary depending on what resource you are trying to get. For Gold and Elixir You would probably want to be between 1700-2200. Here you can look for inactive bases or use a different strategy. If you are looking for Dark Elixir, then your best be would probably be in the 2500-2700 trophy range. Here, your attack strategies can vary. You can also find good gold and elixir loot here too.
Step 2. Troop Composition
Your troop composition depends on 1. What resource you want and 2. Your trophy range. If you are in the lower range, your best be is either the giant healer, or the BARCH. It just depends on how much Elixir you really want to use. You could go with Hogs if you do not need a lot of dark elixir at the time. Another strategy (my personal favorite) is the Gorcher. As you could guess this consists of 1 Golem and the rest archers. Simply place down the golem as a distraction and follow with archers. This is good for DE farming against low level bases.
If you are in masters your options are opened up. You can use Balloonion, GoWiWi (not prefered considering the amount of DE used), BARCH. All you have to do is do whatever it takes to GET THAT DARK ELIXIR!!!!!!
Step 3. Using Attack Methods (And Other Attack Strategies)
Giant Healer- The Healer is a flying unit that heals and is, like all air units, susceptible to Air Defenses. Destroy Air Defenses with theGiants before deploying the Healer, or at least deploy the Healerin such a way that it will heal the Giants for a long time before it dies to an Air Defense (by eventually coming within range). The goal of any Healer + Giant attack is to take out the Air Defense. However sometimes Archer Towers can be just as annoying to Healers; your Giantsmay take out the Air Defense, but a nearbyArcher Towerdecides to ignore the Giant horde and kills the Healer instead. As Healers are very weak and cannot defend themselves, the strategy may not work due to well-placed Archer Towers, Air Defenses and/or Wizard Towers.
Deploy one Giant and as many Wall Breakers needed to break through the wall.
Once the wall is broken, deploy the rest of your Giants to take out the Air Defense.
If the opponent's Mortars can one-shot your Archers, it's advisable to use 2 Lightning Spells to destroy one Mortar.
NOTE: Maybe try throwing in a few minions to help prevent against air bombs!
BARCH-
1. Deploy 30% of the Barbarians as a "meat shield" and to destroy buildings outside the walls.
2. Deploy 30% of the Archers to take on exposed defenses (try to aim at splash damage-dealing defenses like Mortars and Wizard Towers).
3. After your troops starts dying fast, deploy the rest of the Barbarians followed by Archersto take on the rest.
The reason why you deploy 30% of your Barbarians and Archers is to avoid splash damage when dealing with buildings easy to destroy without breaking walls.
GoWipe- (This is if you are a true pro as to farm with this strategy)
1. Use your Clan Castletroops to scout for Clan Castletroops (Only if they are activatable). If there are Clan Castletroops, use yourLightning Spells to get rid of them. If it has aP.E.K.K.A or Dragon, use your units to defeat it.
Alarm the enemy Archer Queen, check for enemy Clan Castle troops, and check for aerial Traps with the minimum amount of Minions possible (up to 3 Minions deployed as a maximum).
Deploy 24 Balloons (adjacent to the Air Defense you just destroyed) on the Air Defenseclosest to the edge of where you will be able to deploy your troops (Town Hall 8 players should use 20 Balloons, Town Hall 9 players should use 24Balloons, and Town Hall 10 players should use 28 Balloons. 2 Balloons can be switched out for 5 Minions, if needed). Roughly 4 Balloons will be lost, but now Minions will be able to be deployed with very little opposition.
Divide your Minions into 3 factions (groups). Deploy 1 faction in front of the area where one the first Air Defense was destroyed with another faction in front of the area where the second Air Defense was destroyed. Use the third faction to deploy in whatever area you choose.
NOTE: Use the Rage Spell in the area where your troops are being defeated the most. If an unguarded Town Hall is found, deploy 2Minions in front of the Town Hall (or behind) in a location where they will not take any enemy fire/alarm Clan Castletroops/alarmArcher Queen. The 2 Minions will make short work of a base yielding 5-10 easy Trophies. Drop your Archer QueenandBarbarian King (if available) behind your Minions to allow them to tear through your opponent's base without being scratched (at least for a long time).
