Upgrading to TownHall 9

Hey guys I was wondering when I should upgrade to TownHall 9? Any Feedback?

Only upgrade your town hall once everything is literally maxed out. As in walls, defensive buildings, troop research, the works! Then as your th is upgrading you hoard gold and elixer for all the neat stuff you get once you upgrade. Good luck!

I upgraded with max splash and max barch/camps as a th8. Im doing fine. You can do it whenever you want, it'll be ok..But In all honesty, if your not active, and not a great farmer to begin with...Rushing to 9 without a maxed or near maxed 8 is just gonna make your life alot harder... Either way is do-able though. Which is why I say whenever you want

I hit Th9 about 3 weeks ago (just before the 3 month playing mark);

My mortars, Wizard towers and ADs were all Level 6.
Cannons and Archers were 9-10 but my Teslas were terrible, Lvl 2/2/3.
To be honest, as the wise man above me put it, if you farm a lot, like me, it ain't too bad, especially if you need the extra camp space and more powerful troops.

The first poster is prudent but in my opinion a bit wasteful DON'T WAIT UNTIL EVERYTHING IS LITERALLY MAXED OUT BEFORE UPGRADING YOUR TH.

Your TH takes 10 days to build; 4 builders or 2 builders or w/e are wasting time twiddling their thumbs while your TH is upgrading.

The ideal goal is to have your other builders not upgrading your TH finish the final TH8 upgrades simultaneously as your TH9 is completed.

Loot penalties are a pain yes, but it's not so bad as to severely destroy your farming capability.
