Leaving the TH outside is actually even encouraged for pushing if farming in masters is your end goal.

I had my base farming all the way through my time in Masters and had no issues maintaining cups and getting myself a nice league bonus. Loot was saved a good amount of the time as well as a good majority of attacks were snipes, even when I was sitting on near max storages.

If champ or 4K+ cups is your end goal though, it would be best to go for a trophy base as every little defensive win helps.

As a TH8 though this is irrelevant as you will get 100% destroyed regardless up there. Leaving the TH out is just fine as you aren't going to be winning many defenses.

And I think you meant Masters for the 1k gems. Champ is going to be a much longer road as a TH8, and I believe that is for 2K gems.

I laughed while reading this. People who can't do simple math don't realize it's better to give up less trophies, by putting their Th outside. It is smarter to put Th outside up until/after masters. Think about it...Giving up less tropies>getting 100% because weak th didnt snipe you...

And people who prioritize math over joy of game is a robot. Winning defenses during trophy push is enjoyable. Also gain free cups when offline. They want to take chances on winning defense and take cups. Who are you to judge how people enjoy their game?

nah.. our coleader reaches champion easily by being defended always. he gained +150 cups by sleeping.

Just put it this way:

1 star (a TH snipe) = loss of 4-14 trophies. + 12 hour shield.

2 stars (raid + TH) = loss of 8-28 cups + shield still.

3 stars (a full out Demolisher raid) = loss of 12-48 trophies + shield still.

1 stars is the most pleasing, how would that occur? A TH snipe!

Although the small loss may not be pleasing, it is better than chance of a 2-3 star.

Mother of god... I just said it. If anyone just destroys your outside TH u just lose between 4-14 aprox trophies. That's not even comparable with the huge amount of trophies you could win just destroying the others outter THs, just with a pack of 5 archers.

That simply has no sense.

Lets put it this way. Clash of Clans is a game. Games are competitive and fun.

TH sniping = boring and not competitive

I'd rather lose a hundred trophies and get more enjoyment in attempting a revenge than watching as my replay log is filled with TH snipes and then my attack log being the exact mirror of that. If you want to TH snipe, go ahead, no one is stopping you. To say putting your TH inside is worse, deal with it. Being in Masters is supposed to be an achievement, not just some easy cruise where you drop a couple archers and get free trophies.

Yeah by putting your th outside you are making the chance of getting a 3 star less. But most players who arent too hardcore think they should put their th inside and some people just feel that people will fear a trophy base and next you. Unfortunetly when you are that high up, you're dead trophy base or not. Plus a nice guy could snipe you instead of killing you

The most annoying people are the ones who put their TH outside, but put a bunch of traps around it. How dumb is that? You're either costing yourself gold (bombs, spring traps, etc.) or defensive power (tesla coils), and it's not going to stop me from getting your TH.

Wanna protect your TH? Don't do half measures - do it the way Chuck Norris intended and defend it with your base.
