Lava Hounds can surely absorb damage but can't do much to enemies. While they take out air defenses, their hit points run out and they are "Lava Pups".

as of now, They're worth the DE

but I think some balance changes will come for Lava Hounds for future patches

That's the whole point. They're not supposed to take out defenses, just distract them while other air troops go in for the kill.

They're actually a pretty well thought out troop. Not only can they be used ( effectively ) to 3 star max defense TH10's, along with the aid of the right army, and good heroes ( hehe ), they are also a very good defense troop against certain army comps.

I really like them, but still prefer either all archers or Gowipe

In our latest clan war, we were versing a clan that 3 starred many of our bases using lava loonion.
We are all maxed townhall 10's.

Yes, possibly but the hounds will need to be maxed as well as maxed loons, minions, freeze spells and Hero's.


Don't fall for the "it will 3 star maxed th10 bases" hype.

Yes, they may help 3 star a maxed th10 base, but they're just a small piece of the attack.
