Snipers also give shields to farmers, which as we all know, means that less loot is available to raid.

I will give an extreme example: say there are three people playing in the whole of coc. One person is a sniper, and the other two are farmers.

One farmer has 400k/400k/3k available. But then he gets sniped by the sniper.

The other farm can only attack the sniper, who has no loot. This means that the 400/400/3 is hidden and not attainable. Think of these resources as a new resource: "Unobtainium" that is, it is not obtainable.

Farmers can also help by not putting their town halls out.
There is even more incentive to put TH out now that loot takes longer to accumulate. Averaging 100k loot means a lot of raids to replace loot particularly if your TH is in and storages are hit a couple times.

I often used to keep my TH in to test my base but now I am not prepared to waste my time replacing lost resources (particularly since I no longer boost)

Also, since the Lix for walls debacle, I know that both gold AND LIX are sought after because loot is poor so I always leave it out. And I never get raided anymore because everyone is using cheap collector armies.

Soooooo ......back to you Supercell......improve the loot fellas

snipers generate resource by getting the bonus.

farmers burn huge amount of resource by transferring loot from one base to another.

snipers are good to the economy.

I love th outside because I can get 100K/100K bonus with 5 archers. I'll definately leave another 100/100 behind if it would take my entire army to get it.

On a side note, I wish forum users would quit bashing each other and lay the blame where it really belongs. 1000 gold next, obscene trap rearm costs, elixir for walls, none of this is accidental. Maybe the bots are out of control and ruining the game, but it was still SC that initially turned off the tap.

Bottom line is who cares if loot is easy? The game is supposed to be friggin fun! People will still gem to boost, finish early, buy builders, etc. I think it was a huge mistake to make the game so unplayable. I know a good number of folks are still making it work, but if you're patting yourself on the back because you're finishing up lava walls and never spent a dime, then you're not the player that SC should be concerned about.

Very interesting thinking but it will be hard to stop as farmers love getting free 12 hour shields and town hall snipers can get easy trophies and some epic loot bonus. (If they're in a high cup range.)

I totally disagree with your opinion for many reasons.
First the main loot source in this game in higher levels depends on inactives/Abandoned villages not on storage raids.
And in case you cant relate sniping town halls to finding Inactives then let me help you. the more town halls are sniped, the more players are shielded, the more probability you'll get matched with an inactive
check this link for a complete idea about what im talking about http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...eat+conspiracy
second thing is that sniping town halls now with your AQ will guarantee you a net profit elixir and gold specially with the higher loot bonus, third if you are nagging about low level town halls in high cups range, then what do you want to raid for loot ? raiding a maxed town hall for loot is not efficient and you will need a class A full army with full spells and you must be a skilled attacker to get all of the storage and in your best case, you will end up in a loss or a tie. so if i was you i would thank those town hall snipers because they are the reason we can still find loot in this game

I'm usually worth 400/400/3000 around 2800 trophies and I haven't been attacked beyond a snipe in 18 days.
nothing you can say will convince me to put my TH inside.

I don't think the snipers are the problem. I am a early th 7 in cristal 2 and snipe away

The real problem are the guys that have th inside. Now I have to hit next too many times

I'm not sure where I stand on this. I can see OP's point, but the theory completely ignores the loot introduced into the game as a result of the snipe. It's not clear how that would be affected if no one sniped, but it does need to be considered in an analysis.

The problem I do have is that removing the TH snipe would ruin the game for me. I have at most a couple of hours to play in the evening and can sneak the odd raid in before work and at lunch etc. The evening is largely when I do my war raids. Without the free shield protection I'm pretty sure I would never be able to save for any upgrades. I suspect most of the clash population have similar time constraints, so I don't think this change would be good for the game in practice even if the theory holds.
