Only players that that stay onlibe for hours at a time, avoiding attacks, would ever really be able to progress. T
1.) Because of the free shields there are more players that want to attack than targets. If there are shorter shield times and no free shields than there is less nexting and your base is not attacked after 5 minutes but after 2 hours.

2.) Going offline during attacks is the worst you can do. If you dont want to wait for your army the whole day simply start boosting. Then play 2 hours straight and do 16 attacks instead of doing one attack ever 30 minutes for 8 hours. Boosting is really cheap. For 50 Cent you can boost your barracks plus heroes and spell factory.

    wow...

I've been playing since April of 2013, and rushed both my TH9 and TH10. I BAM'd till I discovered Barch, and I farmed the living hell out of TH10, to the point where I now haven't been 3 starred all year, and ONLY 2 starred when in Masters League. I feel comfortable saying that there is PLENTY of loot out there. Players change levels constantly - if there isn't loot where you are, move up or down. SC doesn't need to fix anything, imo. As a TH10 in Gold League 1, there are plenty of opportunities for lower guys to get at my almost constantly juicy DE and elixir / gold, and If they are noce enough to snipe and go, I don't complain. I personally would auit the game if sniping were taken out - this was the major problem with Jorge Yao's game, Samurai Siege. Just my opinion...

Sniping is generating loot from thin air (league bonus), so I would expect it does no harm to loot in higher leagues!

    1) You know darn well the base would be hit instantly for all the loot.

    2) So your solution is for everyone to become full fledge CoC nerds that have to raid back to back to back for hours straight in order to make any level of progress beyond TH6? The casualness of the game disappears and so would players like me.

    Bingo.

As a town hall 8 farmer, I battle with th9 and th10 for hard to obtain loot. If I have no builders available, WHY WOULD I NOT TRY TO GET A FREE SHIELD TO PROTECT MY 200k+ AVAILABLE LOOT? By keeping my town hall outside, this enables me to have my loot "protected" while I sleep or do daily activities. On the contrary, when I put my town hall outside, I get a full blown max giant attack COMPLETELY wiping me out (around 60-70%) and stealing 250/250/1k EVERY TIME!

Nexting is caused by all those players that have little loot and refuse to put their town halls out. If someone has a town hall well defended and no resources then we all end up having to next past them. If they were an easy snipe they would get a shield and be dropped from the queue for 12 hours so no one would have to next past them.

I regularly 50% easy bases with no loot just for the bonus and to get them out of the queue. Of my last 10 raids, 7 of them were for less than 50k of each resource (and 4 of those 7 were for less than 30k of each resource). I am in crystal 2 using level 5 barbs and archers (with the rare level 4 wallbreaker) so my army is around 30k to make most of the time so the 50k bonus for a win is enough to make up for any base. If more people played like me (which I don't expect or even seriously ask people to do) there would be a lot less nexting as well, but what really needs to change is all these low loot bases need to put their town halls out so they can be sniped and removed from the queue.

If all the active bases were quickly sniped after logging out then all that would be left would be inactive bases with juicy collectors.

I also make a point of attacking any base with full collectors no matter what level those collectors are. I sometimes attack high level town halls with really low level collectors that cap out at tiny amounts just because I know that base is a waste to keep in the queue since it is not gathering any more resources since everything is full. This saves everyone from having to next past that garbage as well.

    this.........

when im going to be away OR if I'm saving for a big upgrade I drop to bellow 1000 cups, put my TH in the corner...with my white flag.......then boost my collectors....

Every time my shield runs out..... Someone gives me another one for the low price of 1000 gold 1000 Elix

i know its not a popular strategy, but it's my game..... And I don't want you to take all my loot.......the overall economy of other players bases means nothing to me...... I'm just playing mine...

I get just as annoyed at the player who sits in their moms basement, using her credit card to gem their heroes to lvl 40, but it's the way they chose to play.....such is life....

Because this means we need to next through hundreds of bases that, because of the loot bonus and the fact that you don't even have much loot, give us next to no loot.

Snipers also give shields to farmers, which as we all know, means that less loot is available to raid.

I will give an extreme example: say there are three people playing in the whole of coc. One person is a sniper, and the other two are farmers.

One farmer has 400k/400k/3k available. But then he gets sniped by the sniper.

The other farm can only attack the sniper, who has no loot. This means that the 400/400/3 is hidden and not attainable. Think of these resources as a new resource: "Unobtainium" that is, it is not obtainable.

Farmers can also help by not putting their town halls out.
I dont have any loot problem. And i will not stop sniping free th (additional source of my loots with no wasted elixir).

    Cheers. 😁

    It's the opposite actually.

Sniping ths helps the economy a little bit by producing extra loot.

Raiding inside storages does not produce any new loot into the system, it only exchanges hands.
