TH9 Upgrade question-Golem focus or Queen focus?

I'll actually disagree with everyone here and say upgrade the AQ first.

I've had success attacking late TH9 bases without golems, using maxed giants in their place instead.

The fact is that the Queen takes just as long to get upgraded across 5 levels than it takes to get the Golems from Lvl 1 to 4. (35 days for AQ vs 36 for Golems) But the AQ does not come close to maxing out with those 5 levels either.

Golem! Such crazy tanks! They don't do as much damage as Giants but they won't get spring trapped and can take a lot more hits.

And if they draw aggro from skelly traps their death explosion will kill them all!

Lvl10 archer queen is already pretty good

Max you golem asap. level 4 golem is a massive tank for your attack!

I think minimum level 3 Golem.

Queen to lvl 10, then upgrade golem from lvl 1-4, then upgrade witches from lvl 1-2.

Troops always take priority. Heroes usually get like a 2-3% increase vs troops getting 20%+. Troops impact your wars much more. Also you really shouldn't be using troops that aren't near maxed for your TH level unless your attacking weak bases 3*s will be rare. I'd reccomend you use alternative strats until your golems get up to Lev 3 minimum.

Another vote for upgrading golem ASAP. As you said, you can work on your AQ at the same time if you are swimming in DE.

Get golem to 4 then aq
