I'm a TH 8 too & the first thing I did was to make my drill & upgraded it just after a few hours to level 2 & then 3. While being at Silver 1, I've been farming an easy 2k DE per day from 5-6 raids (Yes, it's not much but that's because I didn't go for DE, I went for gold/elixir & looted DE since it was there )

Build your drill ASAP & upgrade it to level 3. It's not that expensive & once you have it to level 3, you'll get 1080 DE daily just form your drill. Apart from that, Just enter the gold leagues. Even at gold 3, you'll find bases giving 500+ DE which you can farm even just with Barch.
