I've just got a new idea, I would add events that would get visible to all players in the clan. For example, trophy hunting in 3 days and so on.

So like hubs for clans? That would be great! They could get news and announcements for the clan on the front page/hub.

Exactly, something like this. Your main clan would be displayed and also clans that you follow as a fan but not a member.

When posting news, you could choose to make it public, within the clan, or restrict to only Elders.

Very good idea for people that have tablets and computers.
In our clan, a lot of people are using iphones/ipods. Are you designing your site to be compatible with both computer and mobile devices?

FWIW, we use glassboard to communicate with clan members and between 2 clans (main and feeder). We also have a general area for all members and a elders only area...Might want to add something like that too

Thank you for the motivation Daddy, I have a couple questions for you about the kit though. I saw it the other day and thought that the timing was perfect!
I guess that the kit will be images, fonts and so on that I can use in my website without having to deal with copyright issues? I don't want to deal with such problems haha!

Yes, the website will be compitable with iDevices and PCs. That's the majority of the idea, the ability to speak to the clan in a simple way. Clans will have their own forums and so on. Refer to the main post to read more!

First of all I would like to introduce myself, my name is Farouq, a young man from Sweden who is interested in web developing and have owned several websites before. I've been playing Clash of Clans for about 2 months and decided to create a website dedicated to clans. The domain is ClanCastle.com (Still not linking to my hosting) and in this thread I'm going to post about the progress of the website, what is being added and hopefully get some motivation to work with the website and also get some suggestions!

The idea behind ClanCastle.com is to provide an easy system to my fellow Clashers to join clans, or recruit to a new started clan. Featuring advanced searches and even creating custom pages for your own clan where you can post news, have a small forum and more!


Current ideas that I'm working on:

For clan owners

• Create a clan website, where you could input some basic information for example logo, clan type, requirements, rules and so on.
• The ability to assign special ranks within the clan, for example news writer, elder.
• The ability to post clan news, updates and announcements.
• Adding sub clans or becoming alliance/rivals with other clans within the website.
• Your own forum where you could add sections, assign moderators and so on.
• Clan hall of fame e.g. top donators, highest trophies and so on.
• Create events within the clan, for example "Trophy hunting in 5 days"

For users

• Your own profile where you could post information about your self e.g. town hall level, troops level, trophy amount and more.
• Your online time, your Gamecenter name and so on.
• The ability to follow clans (if allowed) and/or other players for updates.
• You could also search for clans depending on many factors, using the search feature you would only view clans that are for example mainly Swedish, donate a minimum of level 5 archers and are private.
• As a member, you could send other members private messages (could be turned of)

My vision with this website is to improve the social aspect of this game, mainly within clans to make the process alot easier instead of spamming the global chat or posting in the wrong forums. If this turns out as I want it to, it could be an easy way to keep your clan mates updated and also find potential members.

This project is made for fun because I love coding, and also to improve my skills within web design.
