dark elixir farming as a th8

i'm struggling to bring in 10k dark elixir daily I used to barch for de but found that a lot of my raids would fail. Have switched to giants, barbs and archer combo to hit that de. i'm sitting at 1600 trophies. Really desperate to get that remaining 20k dark elixir by sunday to upgrade barb king to lvl 10. any tips on how I should farm mass amount of de as a th8?

I have some lab upgrades to do so I can't. I spend the past week and half upgrading him non stop from 5-9. The goal is near . I just need some tips that would make it easier lol.

Not true. I can farm DE quite proficiently at Th8, Im staying constantly around 20k DE until a builder frees up for my Lvl4 King.

Like my Sig says, Loonion will help you breach DE storages. When Im farming for DE, I use 24-28 loons and the rest minions. Its a little elixir heavy but if you have nothing else to do with it, and you keep raking it in from Store Raids, it should be fine.
Another comp that excludes DE totally with no spells it Giant-healer with archer/wizards support
2 healers
10 wizards
5 WB
21 giants (might be a little overkill)
and 7 archers, plus whatever is in your CC to deal with opposing Forces

Usually i Boost for these two comps, but it will def help for big farming raids

I written two guides on what to do to defend your DE and what to do to raid for DE. If you follow these steps you should very easily be able to pull in lots of DE a day!

I am in crystal III, and i rake in 100 DE for each win. It's simple. Use your barb king. Find farming bases and take the TH out and quickly end the battle. It will give you 100 DE for each time you destroy a TH. As long as you are active, you will get a decent amount of DE. Hope this helps!

As a TH8, I used 40 arch / 68 barb / 68 gob 12 wb, rage spell, 25 archers (cc) bk to get that DE. I was able to get my king maxed and upgrade my Golem level 2 (80k DE).

If I would go back I would just use 92 barb / arch 8 wb, rage spell to gut that core. Crystal III helps a lot too. Everyone has DE up there to take.

Currently I'm in high crystal 2 (pushing to masters, hopefully in the next week or two if time permits), and I'm farming off the loot bonus through 50%/TH sniping w/ barch. It's tedious to push, but once you get in a high league it's pretty darn good income for a relatively low amount of troop training time and effort.

It's tedious to push, but once you get in a high league it's pretty darn good income for a relatively low amount of troop training time and effort.

I am doing the same minus pushing to masters. I am currently in Crystal 2 and farming 2150-2250. I just barch for 50% and work with the loot bonus. So far my best day has netted about 20k DE, using 3 lightening, 115 archers and 85 barbs.

Personal rules I follow are:

1. Don't bother with TH10's unless they have full collectors and you can afford the drop in trophies, or you can get there TH with minimal troops.
2. Same as above for TH9's, its very risky to try and 50% a th9 /w th8 barch.
3. ZAP! Only do it to bases you can get one star on and also set a minimum for raid-able DE, for instance I only zap people with 1400 or more DE to be raided.
4. Don't bother barching TH8's that have most of their buildings behind walls or maxed defenses. You could probably get the 50%, but again it's risky if you don't have trophies to lose. (MY bk has been up-grading non-stop so I have to be extra careful)
5. Take it easy with the NEXT button, if I don't see a good target by the third th8, I just attack the 3rd th8, unless it looks to hard to get a star, then I just take the next one.

Just remember that a barch army only cost about 31500 elixer, the crystal 3 bonus is 35000, so as long as you win you get profit and unlike gold and silver leagues, every win nets 100 DE. (Crystal 2 = 50k Elixer/Gold and 200 DE). I've also heard alot of good things about BAM, but I don't have my minions upgraded : /

So far I have 4* Hogs, 2* Golems, BK going to 10, Minions going to 2* and plenty of DE to continue minions and no worries about saving for Archer queen.

Farm at 1300-1400 trophy. find storages near outside wall you can find too much of them th7 and th8.
