can TH8 defend from that DE Assassin, the Archer Queen?

Is there anything a TH8 can do to defend against that Dark Elixer Assassin the Archer Queen? These TH9's come barching with heroes and take what they want. She blasts through walls like a knife through butter! I have not started the skulls (1,lol) and still have 20 pink crystals, but da-yam!! Only thing worse than the AQ is if they bring those Giant 6 and just 3 star the base, lol.

I have always played this game as a good offense is better than a good defense, bwahahaha!

Not really. If the attacker is decent it's easy to barch at least 75% of a th 8 using th 9 barbs and archers with royals.

Not really. Best defense against golems/royals imo is Cannons/archers towers. and maybe a load of cc troops to slow her down a bit. They provide huge damage and constant fire, she will take a bunch of DE, but thats inevitable for a th8 defending against a th9/

Great point about those canons HiFlyia, my weak spot. Just began upgrading them, all 9's now. I always upgrade splash (Wiz then mortar), dual targeting Arch & Tesla, then point like cannon / AD but usually always have either a tesla or ad going. But ya, walls and canons are my weak areas.

Yes any lvl 6 barch w/ heroes walks through my th8. Currently using Galatia but not really impressed.

Decent vs poor th8 raids but a decent raider can get 75% of loot consistently.

First step, DON'T use that base. I haven't been a TH8 for a while now, but something like trapception or Tsunami (IIRC) are much better. That Galatia is actually a very old base redone, but essentially the same problems exist. It is horrible to barch, the barch can take out all point defenses and then walk in with heroes and clean up.
