Clan "40 and Over" recruitment thread for "Grown Adult" players
Our clan, "40 and Over" is a clan of grown adults, ranging in age from high 30's to mid 50's with the majority in their 40's. The official requirement for age in this clan is: "40+ (or close to it)".
The clan is an international bunch of folks who enjoy good humored, friendly chat. We have players from Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, South Africa and South Korea. We do insist however on English only chat.
We go to war about once a week. We have a written war strategy, code of conduct and guidelines which are on a website and made available to all clan members. This allows new clan members to quickly get up to speed and to learn the way we do things. The website also features a war countdown clock and a few other things. It has been met with broad approval within the clan.
Participation in our wars is incredibly high, most often using 100% of our available battles. Similar participation would be expected of anyone joining. We do have a mechanism for players who on occasion are unable to participate to do so without damaging our competitiveness or risking their standing in the clan.
Given our international makeup there is almost always someone online which is convenient for chat and also donations. In fact, in our clan donations are filled typically within a few seconds of being requested and often "instantly".
We have grown incredibly quickly. In about 4 weeks the clan has grown from just a few members to an almost full clan now. So many people now try and join that we have closed the clan now at 45 members. The remaining spots in the clan will be filled from this discussion thread.
I've found that for the most part the quality of players coming off the forums is better than from the in-game search so closing the clan and keeping this thread going I think is the best way to fill the final few spots in our clan and to create a "waiting list" of sorts if we fill up totally.

Experience or town hall level is not of paramount concern to us. We instead look for good humored, personable people who will fit in well with the rest of the group. We can help you learn if required once you are a member.
