Am I ready to upgrage to TH 9?

As a premie 9 your going to have nice long 16 hour breaks from the game when other TH9/10s come knocking and 100% your base. All for trophies of course because you wont be able to hold onto any resources with lvl6/7 walls.

I love seeing these bases during war too. Non xbow/AQ with that shiny new air def. Easy gowipe ** with minimum effort.

If you war, you might as well stay at TH8. TH9 doesn't give you access to really any new troops for warring other than Giants level 6 (not really used ever), Balloons level 6 (awesome), and an extra level on Golem (I think?). At TH8, with maxed dragons, you can 3 star any TH8, period. So, since you're under leveled, you help in match making, but can still easily have the full offensive capability of a much higher level TH8. You are an asset.

I agree that a weak th8 with good offense is better then a weak th9 but saying you don't get any new troops isn't true at all.

You gain witches which are key to many offensive strategies, hounds which some people are using, another level for hogs, balloons which are great, plus the Archer Queen who is a huge offensive boost, it also gives you 20 more camp slots another spell.

So even though I think the OP should stay at th8 there is lots to look forward to at th9 with regards to increasing firepower.

I maxed out at TH8, and it made the transition to TH9 infinitely easier. There is so much to do at TH9, that you won't want to be spending resources "catching up" defenses you could have finished at TH8, where loot is more plentiful (anecdotal) and easier to access.

I will say that accumulating DE is much easier at TH9 (the AQ is a huge advantage when trying to hit DE storages), but I still maxed my DE troops at TH8 and hit TH9 with a full DE storage.

If you participate in clan wars, you're going to regret having weak dark troops, as your dragons (or whatever you use to fight with now) won't cut it against TH9s.

my walls are a combo of pink and purple. My mortars, and cannons are maxed out as well as my dark elixir drill
. My Tesla's are at level 4, wizard towers at level 5 air defense at level 5 Archer towers at level 8 and nine. Barb king at level pushing to level 5. My clan is called Champion World.

Loot issues starts with TH9, max every building and get at least full purple walls.

Regarding loot issues at th9. Im a decent th9 and i havent experienced any loot issues. I farmed 14mill ( gold and elixier) in 4 days at th9 with barch.

Loot problems begin with th9, stay and max everything before you move up, you'll regret it if you don't.

It depends on how much you war, and how big your clan is. I am the leader of an 11 person clan and when someone upgrades their TH it has an immediate, noticeable effect on the caliber of clans we are matched up against. So if you are in a similar situation I would say hold off until you are at least close to being maxed.

If your clan doesn't war a lot then just upgrade when you get bored at 8.
