As th9,I can find 100k/100k collector bases in 30-50 nexts(Gold III)
So 50 nexts= ~40k gold.
I guess you're in a bad trophy range.
Silver I - Gold III has been working well for me.

Same here on my mini account. Been sitting at 1400-1499 for the past 2-3 months, of course there are good/bad days, but I find no real problem finding loot.

Everyone has their good days and their bad days. If you can't find a decent loot after about 50 nexts try to increase/lower your trophies. For your case, I would suggest you increase your trophies to about 1400.
As a TH8 (Yes, I have another TH8 account. Main is TH9) I stay around 1300-1500 trophies and I've rarely had those "Bad" days.

When i do not find anything worth i try changing language, i don't really know idf it can change anything, but it makes me feel i did something to fight the bad luck.
But i NEVER spent 400k ! even with nexting costing me 1k each !
When it doesn't want to give you big things consider attaking smaller ones !
