Hello OP.. Even though the concept looks catchy and sounds catchy, i dont see much difference between this and the poor Wiz. Anyway, let me put up my main arguments:
1. Basically your troop Acidite= Wiz + Health - DPS. Also targets defences now.
2. So basically i put 2 Golems/few Giants and few Acidites? and they'll just consume the whole base. Not to say you wont need many cleanup troops either because of the splash damage.
3. Also since Acidites don't die of giant bombs we can just heal them to invincibility for easy 3stars.
4. The problem with Giant/Wiz strategy was that both have a separate AI and that is why the Wiz could be lured away at times. But with Acidites the troops will ALWAYS follow the giants, be invincible. Even 5-10Acidites behind a few giants could clean up the whole base since both have same AI and these troops would aalways be protected by the giants.
Same applies to Golem/Acidites.
5. Also, am not sure if we're ready to accommodate new defences as of now, since it's almost impossible to get a 3star on a max TH10 as it is.
Conclusion: So even though all this glitter looks great, the idea is heavily flawed.

Although I think the purposed units are sick I'm not not all the way sold on the abilities.
Seriously though the pics make me want the units because of their look alone (specially the twr). Great Great job on design (10 out of 10)
Applicability (6 out of 10).
Please keep pushing the idea while making alterations and get these troops in the game.
I haven't voted on poll because I want to save my vote when I'm 100% sold on it.
Maybe you can design the troop/unit for my idea, lol

Before I say anything else, hats off to you for a graphically awesome thread. Two thumbs up.
Moving on to the content of your thread, I like the new troop. I think it is cool, original, and innovative. However, I do have a couple suggestions:
1)Slightly reduced hitpoints
2)Slightly increased cost (increase of 5-15 DE?)
This would address a previous commenter's, as well as my own, concerns about the troop being OP.
As for your new defenses, I like the graphics of the acid tower, but while it looks awesome, I don't think that a new defense is really needed. There is a big enough gap between TH 8 and 9 as there is, and I don't think it needs to become greater. Also, you would run into the problem of not having enough walls. I think that new large scale defenses would only be viable if there was a new TH introduced (and we've all heard that argument about a billion times...)
