Bingo. Without transparency to how much of their proceeds will go towards expenses and what will go towards donations, to me, there's far too many hands in the lot of these funds. Its bad enough the main fund seems to have issues of credibility, but even if you donate to them direct, many charities have huge overhead. Now you've got all the middlemen touching and getting their cut from the promotion along the way?

if you want to be charitable, do it direct. This is just a publicity/marketing stunt. Why just for RED and nothing for breast cancer?

Besides, all my charities goes towards organizations like wounded warrior foundations. Maybe thats just the old paratrooper in me though!

Exactly, because employee salary is considered overhead not profit. They just cannot retain a profit as an organization.

While le theres no way of knowing what percentage will end up to the charity, then on top of that how much will actually reach the hands of researchers, but if you really want to feel good for the cause cut out the middle man and donate direct. Face it, you're doing it for the gems and a red graphic for 2 weeks. One person donating $10 direct to the charity would probably do more good than 20 people buying a pile of gems. Unless youre supercell or apple that is.....
