I am actually cringing at your comment. Seriously bro, the mechanics.of.the game, from the start, is to protect your base. Case.in point, we upgrade defense to max all the time, spend tons of resources, but when we win defense, what do we get? Cups? And no shield? Then gets whcked because your reloadables deplete? Then they getto your core resources. Done. You just failed the point of the game.
The point in bolded statement, I'm sure you take some sleep, right? You go to work. You eat, you poop, you rest. And your suggestion is to be active? Man. What a life you got there.
Defense n is like an offense, you win resources and league bonuse when you attack, but when you defend and not get a shield, what do you get? Like I said, what do I buy with cups.

Have you never heard the saying, the means justifies the end (Or it doesn't). The way to protect you base better and gain cups is through farming resources! Surprise, surprise! By putting your TH out, you help yourself save resources, to get to the point where you feel comfortable enough with you base to push. When you do finally start to push, it's completely different in attacking and playstyle. But anyway back to the means to an end. The time it takes to get a strong base is so long, it's effectively more time than the 'point of the game' as you say. So, couldn't you argue that the point of the game is really to farm? Because you spend so much time doing it. Also some people just don't like pushing. At all. They like the game for its farming, thats just what they like.
Yeah-nah. Defending is a large part of the game as well Unless you are really high or really low). Also saying, defending is not being active. What a load of crock. You HAVE to defend. There is no way around it.
Giving a successful defence bonus is a great idea IMO. It doesn't reward farmers, who are farming a lot of resources anyway, and helps out pushers by reducing the reload cost and losses from the attack. That sounds perfect to me. At the moment the only incentive for defending is cups, which normally comes at a rather high reload cost for x-bows, traps and infernos. Also ties into league bonus, since that is for attacking, why shouldn't there be a bonus for defending as well? It would make more sense that way.
That might be a little confusing. I do agree with the idea, but you have to remember that farming and pushing are very different.
I get the idea of putting th outside, so by chance any snipers would get to it first before farmers.
Really, we need incentives for a well defended base, or just remove trap reload cost and make it auto rearm. Whichever is better.
Definitely agree that an defense bonus should be given...maybe the league bonus for the league you are in. Don't see why this thread is turning into a debate about th in vs th out..to the op point yes please.let's have a defensive win bonus..

actually having league bonus for successful defense does seem fair enough. If you're in lower league, u win a defense the bonus isnt big, that would make u consider going higher (actually depending on play style/farming wise), and likewise if you're in higher league and u won a defense. this the time to be proud of. getting a big league bonus (example master/champ) althought im not that sure your traps/xbows/inferno reload gonna be how much to break even but its better than nothing.

Cant understand how Supercell did not think of this earlier.
Last season i won 32 defenses. For each defense it took around 40-70k Elix for reloading Xbows. If i take an average of 50k elix per defense win that's 1.6 mil only to reload xbows, not taking into consideration the 1-2 storages i lose, traps and inferno reload![]()

over 40% still a shield
that way, it will slow down sniper farmer for cheap reward only for TH outside (presuming you only take the TH) it will force people play the way SC wanted the game to be
you will still have the strategy to put TH out but now, only pusher will get only the TH
i think it is a viable option
edit: only the third star and defense bonus would have to apply the TH lvl penalty
