Making storage raids more frequent and more doable. I'm sure most people wouldn't mind waiting an hour for troops if they can make 300-400k with them

    Also, reducing spell cooking times

    By reducing their training time.
I feel that people are using barch because of its fast cook time, secondly for its cheap cost.

Clearly they should reduce training time, at least for wizards and loons, should be 4 min instead of 8 (wizards have been 4 min for a small period of time as a promo lately). Spell cooking time should also be reduced, as it is the main bottleneck of using big troops. Most of the time your troops are ready but you have to wait for your spells to be.

Second one should be to add a league bonus multiplier. If you 3 star a base, you should get 3x the current league bonus. I think this would help a lot refunding the cost of your big army !

If this were done then all armies would take the exact same amount of time to make no matter what units you were making and the only difference would be troop cost.
Amazing idea. Don't think it will happen because that would cut too much in to SC gem profits, but I know that I would stop barching if this were the case. They should reduce all spell times by 1/3 too. 20 minutes for heal and lightning and 30 minutes for the rest is a lot more manageable than current times.

There is a way to cut those times down to 1/4 of their former time. It's (wait for it) gems!

Freemium - it's how this game works http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freemium

You want free? You wait. You want fast? You pay.

Assuming you play for 2 hours a day (and really that should be plenty of time, boosted) and you boost your heros, barracks, and spell factory for one 2 hour session, that's 40+10+20 or 70 gems. Raiding for 2 hours boosted is pretty demanding. I'll do it from time to time if I need to make a big DE upgrade, I could not imagine playing like that every day.

But still, let's say you do that once a day. CoC costs you (in US$)

    Purchase Days Cost per day
    Pile (500) 7 $0.71
    Bag (1200) 17 $0.59
    Sack (2500) 35 $0.57
    Box (6500) 92 $0.54
    Chest (1400) 200 $0.50

Looks like somewhere in the 60 cents a day to play range. I'm thinking this math figures into their cost models - it's doubtful they would undercut themselves. I know folks who hit up Starbucks for their $7 coffee every day, this is a freaking bargain.

It is not so much about the time. There are simply very few bases that require that amount of troops. I am th9 at the Moment and my army costs about 80K elixir plus spells (on average 1 per attack):
    16 giants
    6 wall breakers
    28 goblins
    60 archers
    40 barbarians

This is the ideal army for me to raid th8s with at least 100K loot each + 35K league Bonus.

I tried making stronger armies and pushing a bit further up, but above 2000 trophies the loot disappears and I get the same loot raiding th9s than I do in low Crystal 3 with th8s.
The reason for this is that above 2000 Players are more active and there are more attackers than bases that can be attacked. This is also the main reason for the bad loot at th10. Gold is too low because of too many th8s and Crystal 1 and 2 has th9s, but the loot is dry.
Most mid to high th9s have enough loot to pay a good loonion army or giant/wizard, but they are gone very soon (raided or cheap shielded) and only the ♥♥♥♥ bases remain in the search Queue.

My idea is to reduce average shield time to allow for a higher attack frequency, because this is want the games makes funny and compensate for the loss of ressources of the Defender by introducing some Auto generated loot.

League bonus multiplier based on stars earned. People want to use stronger armies but due to being able to dump both gold and elixir into walls, high loot storage bases are incredibly rare now. While it wouldn't be right to put restrictions keeping players from being able to smartly keep their storages low, you can replace that lack of loot with a league bonus multiplier that is earned based on how effective they are at destroying the base, and not just simply getting 50% or a TH snipe.

    If only that could happen.

I am more likely to find an inactive base since this elixir wall update than a base with full storages. Barch ftw...

I have floated an idea in the other forum to offer a multiple wall discount.

    2 walls - 10%
    3 walls - 15%
    4 walls - 20%
    5 walls - 25%

Just as a way to encourage players to risk holding more storage loot. Right now storages are depleted before they fill on walls - and no one can find storage loot as a result.

♥♥♥♥ 200k at TH8... greedy much? Loot also has nothing to do with other army comps aside from barch, so wrong place to complain
Also, hes talking about making other troops used often, so lowering price/training time would be the answer, though I am against it in general. Barch is only good for 50% and isnt good for 2 stars and storage resources most of the time, so other troops shouldnt be cheaper to match Barch. If anything, though everyone will disagree, increasing the time/price of barch will steer people away from him.
