Upgrading heroes

im doing my queen first. wanna max it before i move to th10.

Before the July NERF Update Spectacular I did each 5 at a time...AQ first, then BK to match. After July I was out a month or 2 for work/vacation and decided maxing my AQ is the way to go for the extra DPS (We've had tanks called GOLEMs for a loooong time SC spin machine). So she's at 39 (finally) and I guess I'll be putting his butt to sleep soon.

Evenly, mainly to spend DE as soon as possible.

I upgrade them equally. There is a lot of talk that the AQ is better ( "better" ) then the BK, but when it really comes down to it, wouldn't you prefer to have both levels equal, instead of having an insanely strong queen, but a king that can't kill a builders hut without raging?

The king is not as great as he used to be, I 100% understand that. But he is still a vital addition to my army that I will not neglect.

My thoughts were to just max the queen ASAP then I could be more flexible in what trophy ranges I farm in since she is much better for maintaining cups. I farm just enough to keep one upgrading but not both so I figured why keep switching between ok king and ok queen when I could just bite the bullet, only have a weak king for a while then have a maxed queen all the time while I spam upgrade the king.

Basically this. I never like holding on to huge amounts of dark elixir. So whatever hero is available to upgrade and to pour my de into.

I just got my AQ to level 10 to match my King a few days ago. I'm not sure how I'll do it from here, but I'll probably upgrade them evenly.
