Good attack strategies?

I'm a th9 who is trying to push up to masters. I don't like waiting very long for my troops to cook, so I don't like use balloonion/gowipe/gowiwi. I have been using barch and bam to try to get one star, but have been failing a good portion of my battles recently. Any tips or other strategies that dont take very long, that could help me?

If baloonion takes to long in your opinion then the only good attack there is is BArch or BAM but make lighting spells in the time to take out mortars

I'm also th9 with low defences pushing to masters currently at 2279 trophies.

And coming to attack strategies there are many th8 here which can done for single star with archerer and barbs....and th snipe and sometimes when townhall is close to one end with defence I'll go with gaints and barbs,arch,wizz to get that th.
