I rolled down to Gold II after being in Gold 1 and crystal 3 for months. I agree that DE is more plentiful, but so are the TH9s that knock on you door to take it back. In G2 you find more TH7s with DE storages offering 700-800 which can be had with a zap spell on the nearest splash damage building and then trickling in a barch army. I also haven't seen a difference in the available inactive bases either. Your defense log will look a lot better in G II guarantee it.
I heard silver 1 is pretty good for th8s
as far as DE goes i wouldnt go too high as th8 armies are not strong enough to take on bases in crystal 2 or higher
id go to around gold 1 for DE
if you want a league for all around farming, then im sorry, it doesnt exist. But gold 2 will be your best option

I'm wondering why you replied to this thread? To me it was pretty obvious that the OP would like a trophy range, not your useless information.
As a TH8, I've been farming in Crystal II. I find that loot is good for me early in the morning around 7:00am EST and after 9:00pm EST. DE is plentiful and you can max your other storages with the win bonus pretty quickly. I use L5 BArch against most TH9s with the aid of the BK.
