We use google hangouts. We have a channel for the co's/leader and then a channel for elders with the co's/leader included. Its a great way to handle business

Not that I expect many of you to know what that is...

Comon, no one really uses IRC anymore...

My clan has an optional message board and gchat group.

Most all communication can be handled in-game with clan messages and chat however some like a board to share stuff, strats, etc...

I've saw clans where these additional forms of communication were mandatory and it just isn't necessary so I've found it best to be 'optional' for those who do like it.

    I respectfully disagree:

This is only on the major networks. There are thousands of smaller networks.

Edit: Not to mention, after newsgroups, IRC is still the best, and fastest, way to find, well, let's just say, stuff.

    My clan uses GroupMe.
We have seperate groups that include:

    Leaders
    War room
    Farming

We also use it to communicate 1 on 1.

Line app is great, and has many more options, but GroupMe is pretty straight forward and easy to manage.
I have used KIK in some of the other games that I have played, but few people have in this clan have kik.

We have our own forum with posted clan guidelines, war guidelines, etc. and a system where you can reserve bases for war attacks. And then the leaders all use Line to communicate with each other.
