I'll have a maxed TH8 base( walls included) by monday except that I have a bit of lab work to do. I have spells and balloons i want to max before moving up. However I will not work on Pekka, Minions, Valkyrie and golem at TH8. Before I upgrade is there any reason why I should ABSOLUTELY max pekka, minions, golem an valyrie at th8?
If you want to upgrade your balloons, you should do minions as well. Also, I maxed my Pekkas & Golems because Gowipe is very powerful

Maybe just max pekka... at th9 there are a lot of initial elixir upgrades e.g. lab, spell factory, 4 army camps... troop upgrades are also a lot more... that would be my suggestion.
