There's a very reasonable explanation.
Distance from Archer Queen to center of Gold Storage = (8.5, 1.5) = 8.631
Distance from Archer Queen to center of Town Hall = (8, 5) = 9.434
The Town Hall only looks closer because of perspective. The map is viewed at a tilted angle, not straight down from above. The Gold Storage is indeed closer.
She goes for the gold storage. In order to get to it, she needs to destroy the wall. While she's attacking the wall, the Town Hall gets destroyed, and then the Gold Storage. Her next closest target is the Wizard Tower, which she needs to destroy another wall to get to. While she's attacking the wall, the Wizard Tower gets destroyed, but she continues to attack the wall because the Elixir Storage is the next closest building. She destroys that, then goes for the Hidden Tesla because that is the next closest.
Like I said, and like my video says, there is a very reasonable explanation. Often it looks like what she does is stupid and nonsensical, but she is doing exactly as she is programmed. You just need to take a closer look.

If that's how she is programmed then it mighn eed to change a bit so it prevents her from shooting at, what seems to be nothing, to get to the next closest object, especially when she stands there proceeding to be attacked by a def thats closer which ends up killing her or severly damaging her while she just blankly stares shooting the wall.
I know the view is at an angle that much is obvious, so things will look closer when they aren't but there is a MUCH better way for her to go about doing things.

I'm a software developer myself. She is programmed in the most straightforward and sensible way. Each troop in the game goes for the next closest building (or preferred target if they have one). Why should the Archer Queen be any different?
The only possible change to be made doesn't involve only the Archer Queen, it involves all ground troops.
Here's an example. A troop goes for building A, because it is closer than building B. Building A may be closer, but it requires the troop to break through a wall to get to it, thus taking the troop longer to get to building A than it would have taken to get to building B.
That was demonstrated by the Archer Queen in the video, and I'm sure we've all seen it with many different troops. This problem would be fixable if only one troop was considered (Calculate how long it takes the troop to break through the wall and get to building A vs walk over to building B). But considering multiple troops, the problem becomes very complicated and CPU intensive. As more troops come over and attack the wall or get killed while attacking the wall, constant recalculations must be made for each troop. It may be feasible and may or may not cause the game to lag, but it definitely isn't a simple thing to implement.
I hope that explains it.

No offence, I don't care what you do for al iving. Even then I dont believe that you are a programmer of any kind because hell, its's the internet and anyone will say things like that and other variations to make their statements seem true. So that little bit of information to me was unnecessary to put it.(So is the sentence I just posted xD)
But I already understood it all. I know every troops attacks the next closest building, yet the AQ's AI seems to be mUCH different than others because she goes the LONGEST way about doing things while the others, most of the time, are straight to the point.

I was simply explaining that there is nothing wrong with her AI for anyone who cares enough to read my posts to learn why. Just trying to be helpful.
I program as a hobby, not for a living. But no offence, I don't care if you believe me or not. I don't know why you think I would lie about this. Anyone who bothers to read my explanations and think about it will realize it's true and that's how it works.
Edit: Let's bring Daddy in here. I believe he's a software developer. He'll confirm![]()

I've given one example for how it could be improved. It probably isn't very high on Supercell's to-do list, considering the low return on investment. It would be a difficult problem to solve, and could possibly require a redesign of a large portion of the ground troop AI, which would be a pain.
That's the only example I can think of at the moment where there's room for improvement, but there may be more.
