( a few wbs sometimes help when higher up, and seeing more bases with skulls and better - helps move your heros through much faster......... )
Supercell neutered my beloved Zaps.... Oh well, adapt and survive... Now BAMing in a league near you, with max rage...

I just looned up to m2 from c2 in three days, getting massive loot on the way.

As a th9 I farmed 2700 cups, using way too many loons and adding drags with the mins. I also used spells.

Now, I use 16 to 19 loons, 25 archers, and the rest minions. I added the archers to reduce the pink and dark cost.

My attack log is solid yellow. I go for 50% on all th10s, though I will take the th if possible. I avoid bases with xbows up, unless there is serious loot (over 300/300). Then I use one rage at most to carry the attack further.

I mostly bring light spells to make sure I get 50%

I prefer to hit bases with centralized core, but spread way out. That way I can get 50% without ever dealing with the xbows and infernos.

Looning in Crystal 2 and lower seems ineffective, as the bonus is a very necessary part of the process.

yep --- usualy 1 each barrack ... should have been specific ... shouldn't need more, as you shouldn't be under fire at all by the time you release them ... hopefully your loons wrecked at least half the base, giving clear run to centre, by the time you drop royals and wb's and any clean up squad you may have brought along.....

(I've seen quite a few where they drop a golem from cc to tank for the royals at the end...... - not tried that myself - as still only th9, so space is premium...)

Are your minions low level? Max those babies out, I'm telling ya, level 5-6 Minions are amazing. You won't be disappointed and you'll be able to reduce your dependency of so many loons and even spells.
Nah that's just how many I bring when raiding. Most of the time I only use 20 loons, 20 minions and 2 healing spells. I bring that many in case I see a juicy maxed TH9 with maxed AD and WT. Yeah my loons are level 6 but my minions are still level 4... need to upgrade them soon...

    Farm at masters 3
Go for bases with over 3,000 de (when de farming)
Go for bases with over 200k gold (when gold farming)

Try to avoid infernos, wts, ad, and air xbows

    Do not rely on loons
Try to clear cc with loons if possible

Anything else I should be aware of?
I'd rather not add to the plethora of (frankly, not all that good) advice that you're getting, but the number of balloons you use should be a multiple of 4.

Archer towers are a nuisance but are not noticeable overall. I like finding bases with under leveled Wiz Towers that are close to the outer layers. that way, my loons can clean them up quickly. Trophy wise, I would stick around gold-Crystal but Im a th8, so what do i know
    couldn't have said it better

28 loon and 40 minions.... Keep queueing loon to shorten training time....
spells 3 rage 1 freeze 1 heal/lightning... Thet is if you are farming th10
    if you're farming th9 just to with 3 rage, 1 heal, 1 lightning/2 heal...
loons are perfect to snipe de because it is easier to clear one corner to make way minion to go to the center.
    Search criteria:
low AD, AD at the side
    Storage clump together....

Always!! Deploy couple on minion to distract AD before putting on loons, few extra decoy can be very useful to keep your loon alive
