Okay so now how about instead of proving that SC hasn't verbatim said that it is ruled out, you start improving an idea that no one on this thread really likes. 750 DE trade off is nothing for a th9-10 especially if they can raid it all back. That's why Scuba set it so high. Right now, all you are doing is working an argument that is pretty old and forgetting about the rest. Disabling the function during wars is a weak fix, and a reload cost is only a minor scratch in the gold/ de of higher ths. Stop concentrating on one thing and start listening to the other side

It's pretty obvious you have no idea what constructive criticism is. It's also pretty clear that you are just some teenage punk.

And furthermore, building stacking is RULED OUT. That's what this is.

So I'll put it in terms that you understand since you don't respond to reasoned responses: Not only does your idea suck, but it's ruled out.

Hopefully a mod will zap this thread soon because you aren't interested in a debate. You only want to hear how great your idea is and to come with any way possible to make it work.

It is the end of the discussion. Supercell has not ruled this idea out, and you lot have spent 8 pages highjacking my thread trying to claim that it is, even going so far as to flat out lie about it.

Here's how I know it's not ruled out: my thread is still open. Posting about ruled out ideas is against the forum rules, and threads are closed. Everyday this thread remains open is a testament to how wrong you are.

Ideas to counter zapping are not ruled out, either officially or unofficially. It's put up or shut up time for you if you disagree. Your options are either get a mod to close this thread for breaking forums rules ( it isn't) or leave.

Did I say that he said it's ruled out? No. He said there are no plans to change it, and that is what I said. 'No plans to change it', and 'ruled out for the foreseeable future' are two different ways of saying the exact same thing!

Some mod needs to close this stupid thread, and edit the 'Ruled Out' thread to include this!

Certainly. This is after all up to the people who designed the game in the first place. If they say it's ruled out, then it's ruled out, but it's not. But I don't listen to flamers on the forums that can only trash talk respectable ideas and not have intelligent conversations about them. Notice how almost every post has been about zapping in general, NOT about the idea I posted about.

The reason I like this idea is because it will offer a trade off. Protect your DE in exchange for no free shield. You gain something but loose something else. How is that not fair?

That trade off sounds more preposterously poor than the already poor trade off of elixir for dark elixir. Just saying

Thats from page one. And you yourself have said that's it's essentially ruled out, which is wrong. I don't know how much clearer I can be on this. Your insistance that Steve has ruled the idea out is now descending into trolling, so stop. If you have anything to say about it my idea please do so in your next post or leave this thread entirely.

I would hate to see the 6 months of a girls life after you ask her out and she simply says, "I'm not interested." instead of outright screaming "NEVER!" from the top of someplace very high. What Steve said as a representative of SC was pretty clear and left very little room for interpretation. They have no intention of changing it. Which is good. It is the right decision.

Since you would like to hear what I have to say about your post again . . . it is not your idea and you should have searched for 2 seconds before starting another thread. It is requested several times daily and is an equally bad idea each time. Zapping resources is a very weak strategy that is tactically unsound for many reasons, but it does work and it does serve a very important purpose. It is irritating! It is supposed to be irritating. As I stated before, my suggestion would be to make lightening spells do MORE damage, not less. Beyond TH8 lightning spells are useless, but if 5 max lightning spells could take out an IT . . . I might consider rolling that way.

I have also been long in favor of a fizzle trap that mitigated the effectiveness of ALL spells. Not stopping the spell entirely, but a simple % reduction in duration. It would be triggered when a spell was dropped close enough to it. While it could be used to protect a DE storage there are FAR better strategic uses to it.

So those are my suggestions . . . again.

1) INCREASE the damage done by lightning spells
2) Add a spell mitigation trap (that could be wasted defending DE)
