Why is there even an argument? The weapon is clearly heavily based on a crossbow, but it's written as "Xbow". Personally, I say EX-bow, but if it were important enough to worry about, wouldn't they make a distinction? What do you call your parent's sister? Aunt (Ant) or Aunt (AH-nt)? Point is, it's not clearly defined and doesn't matter anyway, so either should be acceptable.

Im thinking it might mean crossbow because its a real weapon and I've seen x used for cross before (lacrosse = LAX)

*facepalm* I never said that. X Bow is modeled after a crossbow, an an abbreviation for cross is x because the lines cross. Doesn't mean every x is cross. Doesn't mean you and your dad have the same name.
