That is irrelevant. No one is saying that "x" should be pronounced as "cross." They are arguing the fact that the X stands for cross in this particular instance. No one thinks that scrape should be pronounced supercellrape just because SC* stands for Supercell.

But really, it doesn't matter whichever way you say it because they both mean the same thing.

*I prefer the abbreviation "SEE," but I'll leave that aside for now.
