    Changed my mind

I agree with everyone. I used to think swearing was something normal you said everyday. We are starting to loose our ability to respect one another and we might not notice it, but mature people will think of this as not normal.

Happy to hear we opened your mind. Now if we could only convince the rest of global to follow suit. I'll start holding my breath right now.😶

Also keep in mind that there are many young players are online that should not learn bad language. If you use the fluffy word once after messing up an attack it is not a big deal but you should not use bad language all the time. Nobody cares what you write in your closed "my friends only" clan but on global you should not use bad language.

Its not unusual for younger people to use swearing in conversations to make up for a lack of a strong vocabulary. As your vocabulary grows you will notice that you are able to more accurately articulate yourself than before without using swear words and with greater effect. Now that I'm older I can practically eviserate a person without swearing and The effect is larger and makes a better impression because your words are detailed and related to your subject, where swear words are generic and boring. But they do get attention easier. But once you have that attention it's quickly lost unless you can articulate your topic properly.

Swearing in conversation is something many people do but taking the time to type out swear words in Global Chat takes effort and hints at the intent to be offensive.

I swear around my adults friends all the time. But I do not allow it in our clan chat. It has no place in a game with mixed aged players.

I personally think many people are too sensitive about swearing, and it doesn't necessarily represent a weak vocabulary. They are simply stronger words. (they also have been proven to reduce pain!) Granted, you should have something to say and not just be spewing swears all the time.

HOWEVER, swearing in global really isn't the best course of action. There are little kids there.

But just 3 weeks ago, I made conversations with swear words as usual, but it was when someone reported me on global and got banned! I've never got banned ONCE for swearing and I wasn't insulting anyone. Then more people in global who had conversations which swear, they were to get banned from global too. No matter if you're in champion or just simply a newbie at this game, people are getting more strict about swearing these days. I also don't like reporting players if they swear, only if they are too annoying.

So why is this happening? Is it because more kids are playing more often on COC? More people are trying to prevent swearing in games? Leave a reply of what you think and if you had a recent experience like this.
I don't mind swearing in my clan... but then again everyone is 18+. In global its a different situation. Be aware of the fact that little kids chat in global and you should respect them and the rules by using appropriate language. IMO you deserved to be banned. Its pretty easy NOT to curse in global and get banned as a result of that. Save curses for your buddies.

I was 12, i had just learnt swearing, other people swearing motivated me to do it...So what i did (bcos i was too nice to swear in front of anyone and there were no anonymous outlets like internet)? I went to a secluded place like empty street or ground, once everyday....screamed my lungs out, walked back to the controlled world with a huge smile on my face
