Mitigating DE Zapping - Why not ruled out?

I just wanted to know why this can't just be on the ruled out list. Most people who frequent the forums are aware; every single day there's at least one post complaining about DE zapping and asking for a solution.

A ruled out idea is merely "[an idea] that [has] been ruled out by the dev time for the time being". Obviously SEE isn't doing anything about DE zapping anytime soon (for better or for worse), so why can't it just be added to the ruled out list? I'm sure it's annoying for many to have to deal with a thread every day on it, it'd be so much easier to just say "Ruled out, read the stickies ".

So at least for the time being, I'd like any idea that directly mitigates DE zapping to be on the ruled out list, at least for now to reduce the number of posts complaining about it. At the very least, I want to know why it's not.

Yes it should, there has been complaining about it forever and a day and SuperCell have shown no interest in changing it.

Last time it changed was absolutely ages ago. Where DE storages simply got extra HP to combat the release of a lv 6 lightning spell.

Amen. Until something happens regarding zapping, the flood of mitigators/spiteful zappees will continue.

Good to see most people agree, however there are a couple who don't want to see it put on the ruled out list. Are these just people that want to continue whining on the forums or is there a legitimate reason for that? It'd also be helpful if a mod could come in and clear up the reason....seems like something this should've been done a while ago.

Not many read the sticky, but it gives mods power to close topics on the subject. Forumers will learn they can't discuss it anymore as it will not change.

Ruling it out won't stop the threads, but at least it will be a reason to lock them!

Not only that mods can lock it, but instead of having a long drawn out argument over why it should or shouldn't be mitigated (which imo is the purpose of any ideas thread, to discuss why or why not an idea should be implemented), it can be ended with a quick "ruled out" comment.

Ideas and requests sub-forum, imo, should be for NEW ideas or at least ideas that haven't been presented in a while. When the same post gets made every day, the same responses get put out, and funny thing is I find many of the thought out DE whine-posts start with, "common solutions put forward by others are,", or something along those lines. They see those responses every day and for some reason they expect something new, and doing the same thing over and over and expecting new results........yeah not happening.

What I'm getting at is there's no point in it, SC obviously isn't going to do anything about it anytime soon and the responses to these posts might as well be C/P'd, and there's no point in these threads for neither posters nor readers. In the end they waste everyone's time, and from how SC's acting it's probably never going to be changed anyway.

They (SC) may aswell rule it out ....... (I think most people read their "not a priority" line as meaning "ruled out, but don't tell the whiners,")
