    the matchmaking system is in no way fair. If it was fair I wouldn't have 90% of my "fair" matches be 15-30 levels higher than me. If the trophy system is continued to be used as a gauge for matchmaking, then it will continue to be abused. All anyone higher has to do is dump some trophies quick and viola, they can pillage those much weaker than them.

    If it was based on a sliding scale of levels, it would create an incentive to upgrade your base and do battle to earn more trophies. No other choice is logical in the slightest.

    It's fair in the sense that it is matching you closely with other people that have a similar number of trophies as you.

    It would be fair in a broader sense if everyone was working toward gaining more trophies. In that case, people would settle into trophy counts that reflected their upgrades and capability. People would not dump trophies quick to pillage weaker targets if it wasn't more profitable to do so. I propose that Supercell make gaining trophies more profitable than dropping them and attacking weaker targets.

    Level is not a logical way to do it at all. Here's my post on why that is:

    I think we can all agree that matchmaking has inherent flaws, but for time being it is what it is... So fairness isn't really a good argument. Until they incentivize higher levels retaining trophies, no point in not dropping.

    Actualy i think there are 2 possible good solutions.

    1. Keep this matchmaking system but make trophys more desirable. Because right now trophy's dont mean .....

    2. SC could use a (behind the scenes) calculation counting upgrades, maybe only counting defencive stuctures x upgrades + TH x upgrades (or something like that)


    This is just a thought of course but this way there is no fraude possible.

    I though you were trying to "impact" supercell. But if you actually don't care, then that's a whole other matter altogether. Then again, if you really don't care, why do you take care to rearrange placements of the pumps and not just sign off, uninstall game and never look back?

    On making it better for players that are still left, well I think successfully "sticking it" to supercell is the only way to force them to think more balance between profiting and the players when they're putting together the next update. Which in turn is more beneficial to the players that are still out there then just giving them some pumps. How long do you think before supercell regconize that's in their way of squeezing more money and do something about it?

    As for what's it to me, nothing actually, I never pay a penny for any game that I dont really own such that everything is inside somebody's server and not on my desk. I just don't like the hypocrisy of supercell.

    Option 2 penalizes you for upgrading. Also it doesn't account for simply being bad at the game.

    Naw. I don't care about Supercell at all. If they make it so the game isn't fun to play, I'll just quit. It's not a big deal. This game is one of thousands in the app store.

    I'd re-arrange my pumps because it would only take a moment to do and if everyone who quit did it, it would be of immense help to the remaining players. It's something that I can do for minimal time and effort that helps others, so why not?

    If you dont upgrade there is no need for gold/elixer. So you can just as well stop playing if you dont want to upgrade. But this way you're sure all the bases you attack or get attacked by are the same (actual) strength.

    And if you just suck at the game (you have no good strategic thoughts) you still get attacked by people who have the same upgrades as you have.

    That's not true. You could use option 2 to your advantage by reaching a certain point, and simply attacking for trophies without doing upgrades. This is basically what low level trophy chasers do now. They increase their trophies at the expense of resources and upgrades.

    If you are terrible at the game you may not be able to succeed by only attacking people with the same upgrades as you. Likewise, if you're really good, you'll be stuck attacking people similar to you instead of being able to attack people with more upgrades (for more trophies and profit) than you.

    Option 2 also doesn't address the issue of resources. The whole reason people drop their trophies is to gain resources. Remove this mechanism without adding another and everyone with more upgrades will be resource starved.

    You're missing the point. Is it fair in that it matches your trophies, well of course. No one is arguing that. Is it overall fair, or even remotely challenging or fun anymore. No.........

    if it were based on a siding scale of levels, which lets say is 5 levels ahead or 5 behind. That would make sure no one is pillaging way below their actual ability. It would give incentive for one to upgrade and farm. This would still entice those as well to purchase gems. To upgrade faster...... Currently it's based on trophies which doesn't equal power at all. Beyond that people would have incentive to gain trophies. Rise to the top the of the boards and have the best clan.

    Your post also indicates you do not know how the game is played. Why would anyone sit there and create troops just to level up? This would be such a waste of time, and if someone did do this. They deserve to be pillaged and lose all their resources. That's not how the game is suppose to be played. Then you go on to say the same bases can vary by user control, and thats not fair. Pardon me, but I am pretty sure hat's how competitve games are suppose to be played. If I am level 31 and I battle someone who's level 31, because I am better than them tactically, that's not fair. Give me a break. People won't want to do upgrades because their matchmaking will be harder, that's not fair? Yet that's how it should be. The more powerful you become the better your opponents should be.

    none of your reasoning makes any sense.... You basically want the game to be a clash of clans boring version of FarmVille. This game has so much more potential than that.....
