I wonder if those who cry for TH-based matching would settle for TH-leagues (ie. TH9 league, TH8 league, and so on). Who knows the teams that did well in regional 5th division football league? Right, if you want the prestige of ranking up, you need to do it in the top league.

i certainly didn't climb up by getting 1 or 2 trophies and i'm sure a hell of a lot of people playing don't either.
you can only upgrade so much before you have to go to mp battles to get more resources.
You cant help it if you happen to win a lotta trophies at first then end up in a too high for your camp level, Should we really be punished for playing what is the funniest part of coc, and which is half of what coc is about. Why should we be forced to lose battles to lower our trophies to a more "acceptable" level. I agree it shouldn't be completely about level but it should play a big part in it. My defenses are upgraded to the highest i can with my town hall level, But i'm now getting matches with far too high opponents meaning 80% of the time i'm dead before i even take a 1/4 of their resources to save up to upgrade,or they are taken by people with level 4 giants, n archers n dragons n healers and whatever else, so i go down a bit in trophies but then i get a few clans that are good for me, and i defeat them and go straight back up! i'm not going to make my self lose battles to stay at the acceptable level. What sort of game is that? And what happens if i did, then upgraded some more, then went into mp battles again i'd end up in the exact same boat! beat the first few maybe, then back to square 1 with the 55+ level up people! SC has left us with 3 options really

1.lose a few battles every now and again to stay at an acceptable level
    2.Buy s*** loads of gems
3.Don't battle everyday or you'll have to refer to option number 1.

I think i will just stick to their game hay day much less stress

Pople like this need to understand that losing trophies isn't a bad thing. Theres no stress. Take advantage of those opportunities where you're "too inflated" to lose battles whilst getting resources. The reason it's stressful is because you're at that artificially high trophy level. Learn to let go and it gets much more enjoyable.

I didn't say that losing trophies is a bad thing. i said i worked hard for my trophies and don't want to just lose battles to get to a more acceptable level. It doesn't make sense how that works. why should i have to lose all the effort i put in to training my troops and planning my attack. I do enjoy the game, alot. its just now i struggle to upgrade because i struggle to get resources. or if i do im not benefiting by much. unless i get my trophy level down. its a stupid cycle. put a lot of effort in, win battles, have to lose battles so i can get resources, then back to put a lot of effort in..

I don't think it's really a matter of what's fair, but what is fun. I don't like lowering my trophy level to stomp on weaklings, but it is also no fun to race up to the top by defeating people lower than you and attacking constantly, and then come back the next day having lost 200 trophies over night. I just like sticking to a trophy range that suits me and matches me up with people who are more or less equal with me. Then I can progress steadily by upgrading my base and keeping a balance between attack and defence. It's not actually that complicated...

oh well, each unto their own and all that. But I'm pretty sure none of these whinging peeps are gonna stick with the game for that long anyway.

Well i think attacking clans and building your way up the trophies in your clan castle, as well as upgrading you clan was great fun. if you had nothing to do in your village go attack, waiting on your troops training, maybe redesign your clan or that. i think some people need to read what i actually wrote, that's twice people have just put down stuff i never said haha! i didn't say i wanted people lower than me so i could defeat them, i said i think the levels should be considered so a lvl 37 wasnt getting lvl 62 etc. you may not find attacking clans fun, but its half the fun in coc, if their was no mp battle they'd probably be no clan castle, no meeting new people to chat to, and it would just be like any other regular build and wait game. Its the mp battles that make the game a better one than most. But each to their own and all that.

Quitting and leaving pumps undefended is a terrible idea. The only way to impact supercell is to make as many people quit as possible. Leaving undefended resource for people to loot is doing exactly the opposite. Why do you think supercell took away the sell option anyway?

    Analogy

Low level, un-upgraded people chasing trophies and complaining are akin to:

C-Division football club with a sub-par team wanting to play in and win A-Division, then complaining about why the heck do they have to play matches with quality teams from A-Division.

Seeeing as this thread is still alive...

Here is a small outline of the last month for me and my clan... And bear in mind we are super Active...3 weeks we farm, week 4 we push for trophies...

Week 1-3 - FARM YOUR NUTS OFF - UPGRADE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE

Week 4 - Go for Trophies

So.... Week 4 - Im Lvl 76 - and i got to 2000 Trophies from 1000- within a day, most of my higher level clan mates also hit 2000 within a day or so..

The remaining 5 days were spent either one of two ways:

    1) Using Low Cost Troops looking for Lv8 bases with enough stuff outside to get 50% - This allows lots of battles but the wins (3/5 Trophies can be devatsted by 1 loss of 28 Tr)

    Or,

    2) Building high cost Troops - Pekka and Dragons and Spells to attack at most 3 times a day...

Within the remaining 5 days the fact was that only 2 of us broke 2100 and stayed there..

I used option 1 (lots of elixbut was suffering heavy losses)
the other used option 2 - he ran out of elix (started with 4 million btw) and had to get his sheild up to see out the last day.

Yet our top 15 players were yo-yo'ing between 1900-2050

IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO GEM - YOU WILL CONTINUE TO STRUGGLE / OR YOU WILL BATTLE LESS AND LESS - FACT!!!
