Seriously, go to master 3. You don't need to farm it there because it's everywhere.

If you are TH9 or 10, go to masters 2-3 to farm for DE. People usually have 3 drills there and many are full or partially full. Also, there are enough bases out there with DE storage closer to the outside which can be taken down by AQ as long as she is tanked by BK/giants/barbs.

I farmed most of my DE in masters 2-3 -- over 7 million DE farmed.

The TH8's who successfully raid me use Giant + Heal + Arch + BK and easily take 2K+ DE from my storage.

If you are a TH7, you will need to zap or if you can, use Giant + Heals to take out a storage. People who try doing it with dragons usually fail. The best attacker who used the minimal troops was a guy who broke two layers of walls using 6 WB's, sent 8 giants to distract my defenses and used 40 goblins to get my DE and end the raid.

Zapping would have given him 300 DE, he ended up with stealing 2K+ DE from me.

Oh and there are many Youtube videos about people who have successfully taken De from storages using Barch only. You may want to see those.

If you're a TH9, getting DE is pretty easy because of your AQ. I'm currently overflowing with DE in Crystal III just using BAG (Barbs, Archers, Gobs). If you're TH8, I recommend trying to get to Crystal I and using Barch on the drills. Statistically speaking, 75% (which is the max you can steal from a drill) of a max DE drill is 1200 DE so if you're lucky, you'll be getting a lot of DE really quickly. Just make sure you don't drop too many trophies but sniping THs.
