I'm assuming nothing changes? Clearly I'm not assuming that. I think it should be changed because I feel that people who are attacked should at least have a -chance- however slim it may be to get their loot back.

    Do you personally revenge often?

I once tapped revenge for two straight hours, while someone was online (I was shielded at the time and they had good resources and cups, I took a 15 minute break and they had gone from Online to shielded just like that. Revenging isn't hard due to lack of resources on available targets.

But you keep referring to how much a pain it is NOW to revenge. I don't deny that and I rarely revenge unless I'm stalking a higher TH with filled DE who flattened me. Even that's a pain.

Remove the loot penalty and all of a sudden it's not a pain. Why spend 100K nexting when you could go through a list where everyone is a target?

The case you're presenting here is not realistic. It's not, would I rather spend 100k nexting or simply peruse my revenge list and attack anyone who is loot rich.

Everyone in the revenge list is not a target. Nearly all if not all of those people will either be online or shielded.

When I spend 100k nexting, every one of the bases presented is a potential target that if I so choose I could drop troops right then and there and attack. Whereas with a revenge, I could sit there for hours waiting for the target to become available.

Continuously going through my revenge list waiting for loot rich targets to become available is simply not a good use of my time. You even state this yourself and it's not like you've got a penalty worth worrying about.

Wow I can't believe there is yet another post about this. Zapping will continue to be allowed okay. Just deal with it. Whenever you get zapped just think, wow he just wasted 60k+ elixir to take my 1000 dark elixir.

Again, you are STILL assuming the revenge climate would be identical to how it is now. If the loot penalty is removed, revenge becomes are far more viable option.

Right now you might only have 5 targets worth revenging so of course it's likely they are online or have shields. But with no loot penalty for revenge, even casual players will be more liable to peruse their entire revenge list on a daily basis rather than looking at a select few who would be worthy of their time. You are SIGNIFICANTLY increasing the pool of potential revenge attacks, which by far favors higher THs and offers zero benefit to lower ones. TH7s and TH8s would be the ones hurt most by this.

You now present a difficult situation for lower THs. Not only do they have to worry about normal attack from a higher TH, but now they have to be cautious even when sniping a higher TH. This limits the pool of attacks to equal or lesser THs for them. Higher THs would be able to flock to lower leagues where they would be able to dominate.

Bear in mind, I'm saying all this as someone who is about to upgrade to TH9 in the next 10 days. So this would be a great benefit to me, but for the game as a whole the effects would be catastrophic.

Furthermore, I do want to reiterate that this effect would really only take place in Silver and Gold leagues. The effect in Crystal and up would be negligent.

Actually, i figured this out recently. Dark elixer is 10 times more valuable than elixer and gold, e.g. 10,000 is equal to 1,000 elixer. So in reality, it wouldnt be a waste at all, more like a reward for the other person if they manage to get 1000 dark elixer in a single raid. Just some fun facts for you. ive only been zapped omce personally, and they only got 3 dark elixer
