Dilemma - Upgrading to Town Hall 10

Hi guys I'm needing your help for me to decide whether I should upgrade my base to town hall 10 or wait a little longer. I'm a pretty maxed TH9 base:

level 10 barracks

level 6 dark barracks
level 11 arch towers
level 11 cannons
level 7 wiz towers
level 7 mortars
level 7 air defense
level 7 hidden tesla
level 3 xbows
level 9 walls (173/250) - I'm thinking that once I get all to level 9, I'll upgrade to TH 10.
all traps maxed

My problem, however is, my heroes and dark elixir troops (maxed elixir troops) are not yet maxed:

level 13 barb king
level 15 arch queen
level 1 valk
level 3 golem
level 1 lava hound

I'm thinking that once I get in to level 10, yes, I can upgrade my elixir troops but that would also mean working hard a lot to save enough resources for upgrade because of the loot penalty. On the other hand, Im thinking that I should dwell a little longer in TH9 to max DE troops and upgrade my heroes. In connection to that, I only use ninja archers (9 giants, 2 wbs, and rest archers) as my farming strategy? Will maintaining this farming strategy be effective in town hall 10? Please help guys. De farming is better at th10 as with higher lvl troops and more space you can comfortably farm in a higher league.
The ONLY reason not to go up is walls and that is entirely up to you. Farming walls is possible in th10 and many do them, but it is noticeably harder there.

You're further along than I was when I went to TH10. My heros were 11 and 9, I had about 150 level 7 walls and my golems were lvl 1. I had no real problems.You'll be fine.

I would finish your walls to level 9. De is easier at th10, but you'll also want better heros. Maybe level 20? I would also get your golem up to level 4. My heros were level 15 when I went, and I wish they were atleast level 20.

Well I might have to change my farming strategy. At higher leagues, ninja archers may not be effective. The reason I'm using this strategy is that its fast and it's generating me millions in 5-6 raids, given the right base. I may stop upgrading walls at level 9 as the price per piece gets ridiculously high after that. Thanks a lot!!

I went to Th10 in a very similar position to you, had finished lvl9 walls heros were something like that (don't remember the exact lvl's).
I never had a problem keeping my builders busy the horror stories are worse than the actual experience although you do need to be fairly active to progress quickly.
I would suggest you go when you finish your legos as you are thinking to do.

I got no problem with gold and elixir but DE seems very elusive - the reason why I cannot upgrade my heroes continually. I am almost 1 year playing COC and haven't reached 1M heroic heist yet.

Both, mainly the latter, better troops allow you to farm in a higher league with better de loot bonus, plus more th10s that have more de to be raided.
