I made this poll more for the Hogs,cause I am pretty sure upgrading my BK to lvl 5 until moving to TH8.Also finishing up th7i have a few lab upgrades and bk left, i personally recommend maxing it, especially the bk, but I guess hogs depends on if you use them. I'm going to even tough I don't use them, but it's your choice.
But I still have a few walls(24 at number)to upgrade to lvl 7 and two collectors of each at lvl 11

If you can get your BK to 5 early into TH7 (difficult to do), he is worth doing before going to TH8, because at level 5, he can be a huge asset to your raids. At TH9, I still have him at level 5 (saving for golems and upgrading AQ heavily right now). However, the longer you stay at TH7, the less imperative it becomes to have him at 5 before you get to TH8.
As others have said, DE becomes progressively easier to get the higher TH you get.
The number one most important thing, though, is to never let your lab sleep. Builders you can sometimes slack on (until TH9 where you kinda need both heroes upgrading constantly), but lab time is generally the limiting factor at every TH level.
I personally only upgraded minions before TH9, and now that I have much higher DE raided / day, I'm spending the time maxing out my DE while I cap walls.

Upgrade your TH if you have everything else maxed. DE comes easier at TH8 so your BK will be easier to upgrade there than at TH7. Loot at TH8 is still pretty good so you shouldn't have a harder time farming at TH8 than you do at TH7.

No, it's not worth it to stick around at a maxed town hall and farm DE with sleeping builders. The higher your level, the easier it will be to obtain DE. Upgrade that town hall as soon as possible!
It's more strategic to start upgrading your town hall and upgrade your BK and hogs later, but doing them first would be a big achievement.
