Ability to boost labratory/troop upgrades :)

Im upgrading to lvl 3 hogs and it takes 10 days im way behind on upgrades and its just just think it would be cool to be able to speed the process up with gems like you can others. Except it would obviously take more than say the spell factory or barracks.. but be able to cut the time in half for a fair gem boost/price. What do you think? Idk if this has been mentioned.. prob has. Anyways, cheers

This gets mentioned periodically, but I doubt it will happen. Boosts seem to be available for consumable producers, but nothing which is permanent.

You can already finish it early with gems so if the cost of gems to half it is cheaper than the cost to finish it when only half the time is left, then you will be using less gems so supercell probably won't add it. If it costs more to half it then whats the point of doing it.
