New matchmaking and game difficulty

The reply was implying that there aren't too many players at this point to get evenly with matchmaking. The real ideal matchmaking can't be possible at the moment due to lack of players.

Townhall-based system would never work because everyone will not upgrade their townhall in order to gain easy trophies. You wouldnt want to see someone with townhall level3 to top the chart with 4000 trophies, would you?

Th level matchplay would suck.
pedro, there are far more people with th9 than there are at 2000 trophies, so if the matchmaking was based on th level, there would be far more opponents available, not less.

I believe, you're getting it the other way around. There aren't too many TH9 owners. And not all ranges have Th9 owners. You can't force yourself go a certain trophy range when your status isn't able to.

As you know, we introduced a much faster and more fluid matchmaking system with the Winter Update. We've received quite a few complaints that the new matchmaking has made the game more difficult. The game is now offering you opponents with trophy counts a lot closer to your own, which means that you have the potential to win a lot more trophies in one battle. This of course results in more challenging fights.

In fact, game difficulty hasn't changed. A match where you're able to win 30 trophies is just as challenging as a 30 trophy match was before. The difference is that now you're just seeing a lot more of 30 trophy matches, compared to matches offered by the old matchmaking system where you might win just three trophies. In other words, you don't have to smash ten low-level villages to get those 30 trophies any more. Any seriously competitive Clash of Clans player will appreciate the new challenge and the time they save!

If you've only been fighting low level players until now, you'll need to learn how to beat tougher opponents. The best way to do that is by bravely attacking and seeing what works and what doesn't! If you keep losing, then your trophy count was too high and you need to build a stronger village and upgrade your army. It's easier to bounce back than you think, and you'll have truly earned your new trophies after claiming them from real opponents. Having fair fights will result in a better gaming experience in the long run.

This is so wrong
First, we did not fight low levels opponents, some are higher levels than us, is just that our trophy are higher than them.
Second, if we keep losing our battle, how you expect we can get a sufficient resources to build a stronger village or army? without using any cash? If just depending on those elixir collector and gold mine, how long do u think it takes to acquire up to 4mil gold to upgrade a lv9 town hall?? Think logically, its almost impossible if we did not loots from others.

This update basically only give benefits to those whom are rich. If you guys wan me to drop my trophy to get better chance for resources, i can say that.. go to hell. I spent months to reach where i am and i will continue onward.

A word of advice, if u guys wanna make a real fair matchmaking, try add an advance search option for players choice. Or else, you guys can wait to be screwed.

if they couldn't find someone at the level range within TH range
then find someone at a lower TH with same level range
then find someone at a higher TH with same level range
then find someone at a lower level with same TH range
then find someone at a higher level with same TH range
else unable to find village to attack

and then you compute how much you earn/lose based on the trophies you both have
its not impossible, you just need to add more conditions

or better yet add another attack button that bases its targets on levels than trophies make it like a skirmish, having the same levels with little trophy gain and higher trophy loss, and a ranking battle, with higher levels with high trophy gain/loss
