New matchmaking and game difficulty

I like the new matchmaking difficulty. I don't want to beat up players with Lvl 6 or 7 TH's. I want to know that I can fight people evenly matched with me and kick some butt, not tromp on little guys. I think the vast majority of players complaining about this are ones who are used to hitting folks quite well below themselves to gain trophies and loot. Things will adjust in a week or so and the uproar will die down, just like it did in the last update.

That being said. I have noticed a drastic difference in the amount of loot available. I played for 4 hours last night, I did lose some trophies, (Not too many about 40) I walked away with a gain of about 200k elixir and lost gold because I had to spend so much to find a base that had enough available. Not that there wasn't a base I could beat, but one that had enough loot to make a profit on at least elixir. That's the only real issue I see right now @ 1800 trophies.

To be honest, I don't know if I was offered the same bases or not. I don't look at the names. All I look at is loot I will check tonight to see if that is what the problem is and report back. I am unfortunately at work for the next few hours and cannot play.

Maybe the matchmaking could not just go based in the trophy count but also the town hall lvls. I have 1600 trophies with a town hall lvl 7. When i do the match making i am being paired with mostly lvl 8 and 9 townhalls and all have crossbows. My defense isnt as good as theirs because i dont have as many walls. The resources are so limited now that i will never have enough gold to upgrade. When i attack i am doing ok but NO ONE has any good amounts of resources to take... What is going on?!?

How much loot you can take is based on town hall lvl. Matchmaking is not and really shouldn't be as people will stop upgrading their town halls.

What you need to do is drop down a few hundred trophies and you will find matches better suited to your ability.

Getting trophies is not the problem. I agree that people who have been getting trophies by beating low levels need to drop trophies now.

Getting resources is the real problem. I don't think it's fair to force us to drop trophies JUST to get resources.

I'm level 61 with 2077 trophies. I still have no problems winning battles, so I don't think my trophy count is too high, but now I can't find any loot. I spent over 100k gold searching and found only a handful of guys with 100k gold or elixir. Do I still have to drop trophies to find loot, even if the competition is not getting more difficult? Doesn't seem fair. Or is it just bad luck?

match making is faster, much quicker in finding attacks. And I have fully supported the changes so far. But has the loot been severely lessen?

I had over 500k elix, got attacked n totally destroyed! However they only got 100k? I am at TH6 and the person tht attacked me was at least a town hall lvl above me with lvl 4 giants, does this make a difference atm?

I agree match making is a lot faster but I m having problems getting good attacks, resource wise. I don't really care I would usually attack anybody with loot, but it has been very scarce since the update.

Please advise if you have further reduce the amount of loot one is able to get? Better yet please give us the exact numbers, ie if attacking person 2 town hall greater what amount can I get?

But overall I m happy with the update, given it has been harder with more challenging matches, but it gives me a chance to try out strategies.

At the moment @ TH6, lvl 41 with 1300 trophies.... Please also try your best to make more responses, don't have to reply to everyone individually, but please at least make an announcement of changes or updates as this in my opinion silence is the major problem.

Well, if you are not strong enough to win a fair match in your current trophy range, then you can adjust your trophy amount to find matches that are closer to your village's strength. Like said in the original post, we didn't change the difficulty of the game but rather only the perceived difficulty changed because you are now offered matches that should be closer to your strength and thus more challenging.

Oh, since I started getting attacked I know at least one of the attackers is a big spender as when I went to get Revenge, the expensive walls and all gave that away, yet this person has less trophies than I do, and all I have done is defend. I can say that out of the 20 or so attackers that have gone 'after' me, 17 of them probably only did it to drop trophies, as the replay shows they only sent 1 or 2 troops out and that was it, 17 trophies etc to me.

Well, i totally agrea with you and dont see the fun in fighting players with town halls way bellow my own eigther..

Personally im lv 62.. Town Hall lv8 and at 2150 trophys.. And i would fight simular players any time..
..however with new match making i get offered ONLY fights against Black Wall, x-bow, lv9 town halls.. And then the fair fights kinda stops in my opinion..

Sure i Can drop in trophys like many suguest.. But i fight for trophys for mé and my clan, and that would really suck and take most of my point out of the game... Especially since i would ofcause then win new trophys in the easier fights, and then have to drop trophys once more.. Just doesnt make any sence to mé ;-(

Yeah I hear you. I have some tough matchups being shown to me as well. However, Supercell makes the rules here. This is the way it is, they may tweak things a bit, they have done so in the past. But just like all the other updates that have come before this one, you either adapt or stop playing.
