    TH8 Quadrant base design

After much thought, I dreamed this up. Against ground armies, even powerful ones, it does quite well. Each quadrant can support other quadrants. A possible flaw is with air attacks, was 100%'ed a few times until air defenses started coming up*, jury still out on that. They have priority to see if it evens out in the end.

    Thoughts? Ideas? Major flaws?

    Any input would be appreciated.

'When I first came here, this was all swamp. Everyone said I was daft to build a castle on a swamp, but I built in all the same, just to show them. It sank into the swamp. So I built a second one. That sank into the swamp. So I built a third. That burned down, fell over, then sank into the swamp. But the fourth one stayed up. And that's what you're going to get, Lad, the strongest castle in all of England' ->Yeehaw404 TH7 Clan PtewPtew Gotcha

k, I know it was posted late last night, but this design has had 84 views and no comments. I humbly ask for constructive criticism from the varied world-wide horde of folks who want to take my stuff...

I understand if you're struck speechless by the incredible design aspects, the thought behind all the various attacking troop' AI, the addition of the fourth mortar, sweeping vistas of pure excellence, and the meticulous math behind every defensive position - surely it has flaws...

Very very very exposed Air Defenses you might want to move them in for the cannons maybe?

The coreless base hype is trending though.

This. Also, you only have a few compartments so the base is easy to breakdown...

Ok, I've moved my air defenses further inboard and moved cannons to outside.
The TH being where it is and limiting it to four quadrants is to allow mutual support with resources more or less evenly divided between quadrants. I've seen what you say about coreless bases and some are so fragmented, they cannot support each other, and archer attacks become easier after taking out mortars (the archer's most deadly natural enemy). It's a trade-off, which I think balances the risks. Like I said, air attacks are my biggest worry and with your comments have helped alleviate that. Thank you.
I've come to terms that somebody bigger than me is going to take my resources if they so desire, I just want them to pay as much as possible to get it.

    Thanks again folks.

The builder huts down in the corners seem like a waste to me, It'd be easy to send a balloon or something just to get into range of the CC, and then have an archer or something cal them into the bottom of your base. I can guess how far your CC is, and it would be easy to get some archers or something to trip your traps and then run for the center area just for that CC to be lured out. Couple archers down to the huts, and there goes your CC troops, and essentially a nice moveable defense. I dunno how the range for the skeletons go as I don't have them yet, but depending on how far the barb or archer gets down the little run ways, you may lose those as well. Just because they follow and attack the troops that you are attacked by. (Disregard statement if it's set for air, kind of).

I don't know what your current base looks like after you've taken our suggestions, but I'd definitely move those traps at the lower end of the base, they seem somewhat wasted. And your air defenses are exposed otherwise (again, sorry I'm bad at picturing things).

This is a personal thing, but I really don't like those pathways...
