Should I finish my lab upgrades before going to TH9?

I am a nearly maxed TH8, all my defenses and walls are probably 90-95% done, even my BK is going to level 10.

About my lab upgrades: Almost all regular elixir upgrades are done, only goblins, lightning sell and wall breakers have one upgrade left. On the other hand, my DE upgrades are lacking, since all of my DE went to BK upgrades, I never upgraded any DE troop.

So this is the question, I'm a nearly maxed TH8, except DE lab upgrades (which take forever). Should I wait 3-4 weeks to start upgrading the TH after I finish some of these upgrades?

The only issue I encounter is that I won't have any gold or regular elixir upgrades left, that means my storages will be always full, and I don't like that at all since I'm a very active player and raid a lot.

What are your suggestions?

I would say go for it... Obviously you don't not use your DE troops much anyway.. Even with level 1 golem and witch, they are good enough to GOWIPE many TH9 bases and you can take your time to upgrade them.

The only exception is hogs. They are great with 4 healing spells and you will find you can easily 3 stars many TH9's or even 10's with exposed heroes with max hogs.

I would recommend just going to TH9, as a TH8 I didn't max out my DE troops and did just fine. Besides, it should be easier to come by Dark Elixer as a TH9 anyways.

If you'll have gold sitting around definitely go to TH9 sooner rather than later

I did some research on this exact same question a while back and the consensus seemed to be as long as your BK is lvl 10, dont worry about the rest of the DE upgrades until TH9. They did however all say to have enough DE by the time you get to TH9 to immediately purchase the Archer Queen.

However I would get your wall-breaker to lvl5 as it then only takes 1 wall-breaker to get through the lvl5 (gold) walls, and a lot of people still seem to have gold walls.
