You won't be able to get the correct amount of gems needed, it depends on how you have to fill up your storages the more you fill up the cheaper it is. For example 4 mill gold cost 1400 gems but 8 mill gold cost 2467, it's a big difference, you won't be able to spend all the gold everytime before you have to fill it up again (atleast not without some serious calculations).
It's the same with time, the longer time you gem the cheaper it will become.
I think that both got a cap so you're probably not way off but it's still not correct
